In this episode Kirk talks with Note, Nuk, and Note Suwanchote. They are 3 brothers who have been participating in the Seattle 48 Hour Film Project since 2011, winning many awards and taking the big prize, Best in City, in 2021.

In this episode, Krk and Indra discuss how the podcast played out in 2022, why there was s stall in episodes and how they plan to address it in 2023. They also talk about Filmapalooza 2023 in Los Angeles, their crazy road trip from Seattle to Filmapalooza, and our new Patreon site!

In this episode Krk and Kris talk with Allison Whitmer, the Montana State Film Commissioner. They thank her profusely for her vigorous and persistent support of the Montana 48 Hour Film Project, the inherent production benefits of shooting in Montana, the myriad talented filmmakers in Montana, the informal development of a Pacific Northwest production alliance, the Seattle Film Summit, and bear sightings.

Krk talks with long time 48 Hour Film Project participant in Seattle and Portland, Brian Sutherland. They talk about the winning strategies that the various teams he's worked with have employed. (He's been in 2 Seattle winning films and 1 in Portland!) He describes how the 48HFP has helped him create a career as an actor and acting coach. Then Krk and Brian dig into the ethics of cheating in the 48... or rather they both wonder why anyone would cheat in the 48. WHat's the possible benefit really?

Kris, Krk, Indra, and Wouter discuss their recent 48HFP related travels to the south of France and basically all of Montana east to west!

Franklin Carpio is a union grip in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, indie filmmaker, 48 Hour Film Project participant and all around nice dude. We discuss why the 48HFP resonates with him, how it helped train him for the rigors of working on long, professional shoots. We also dig into the idea that filmmaking isn't just about actors, directors, cinematographers, and editors... the needs of film production span a wide variety of professional occupations.

Krk and Kris are on the road in Montana this week recruiting for the Montana 48 Hour Film Project. They recount the tales of meeting some really interesting people in Hamilton and Missoula, and then a random encounter with a 5 year old girl ends up becoming an introduction to a likely participant in this year's event!

In this episode, Krk basically laughs through the entire episode because that is what he and his buddy, Dima Levanchuk do when they get together. On the serious side, they discuss how Dima went from a career in math and science at Boeing to doing the 48 Hour Film Project, then working at pop culture phenomenon, Funko, and eventually on to AWS at Amazon. There's also talk about the seriously goofy films they made together in the 48HFP sibling event, The Four Points Film Project.

Toronto City Producer, Chris Cherry, tells us that he would like to remake Soylent Green and why.

We also talk about the benefits of working in the Union, almost working with Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell, how much we both love Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, how he wants to be Kevin Smith when he grows up. And, to keep things on brand, we talk about how the 48 Hour Film Project helped in his career development, strategies for a successful 48 weekend, and how the exponential advancement in camera and computer technology has changed (and is always) changing the industry.
