Overcoming Emotional Barriers to Success for Neurodivergent Children & Teens

Join Brendan Mahan and I as we chat about how each time failure occurs emotions can build. Shame, guilt and disappointment can lead to more and more bricks in each child's walls. The Wall of Awful is the emotional barrier that prevents neurodivergent kids from initiating tasks and taking the risks necessary to reach their goals. We talk in detail about how these walls are built and the strategies to help get over them, around them or through them!

I'm hopeful that this episode will help bring even more understanding and support for the mental health of neurodivergent children and teens.

Boost School Success with "The Get to Know my Child Sheet"

It’s time for school again! It’s more important than ever to have great communication between school and home- especially when it comes to virtual learning.

In this episode, we are talking about my FREE "Get to Know my Child Sheet". It’s a simple, one-page fillable pdf that can help your child, client, or patient transition more easily into school.

The Free get to know my child sheet is a great way to communicate interests, strengths, challenges, and the best support strategies.

It’s power-packed pdf fill-in that takes no more than a few minutes to complete. You can have the most important information on one page.

There are so many valuable ways to use the sheet- It can be provided to coaches, therapists, physicians, tutors, babysitters, and anyone that you would like to understand your child, student, or client better.

Therapists can use the "Get to Know my Child Sheet" as a tool to better understand their clients and help promote positive interactions. They can send it to their new clients and to their existing clients.

Professionals can also help parents complete the sheet for other providers. For example, I’ve helped my patient’s parents complete the "Get to Know my Child Sheet" for their child’s teachers, physicians, coaches, babysitters, and other professionals who support them.

Again, "The Get to know my Child Sheet" has so many uses and it only takes a few minutes to complete. It’s only one page so it’s a great quick reference for anyone who is supporting a child with Autism and/or ADHD. It’s also easy and convenient to email to others.

Hugs,

Holly Blanc Moses- The Mom/Psychologist Who Gets It
