Well it happened. For the first time since Kevin Bieksa got some incredible help from a stanchion and put an 2OT goal past Antti Niemi on May 24th 2011, the Vancouver Canucks won a playoff series.

The 2019 NHL Draft in Vancouver has come and gone, the Canucks drafted out of Russia and a trade with Tampa Bay rocked the fanbase. But it's a potential free agent signing that has the Vancouver fans very concerned.

Geeta, P Mac and Ryan gather this week out on the palatial estate's balcony which has become a second last podcast of the season tradition for Pucks On Net. Elias Pettersson returned to the Vancouver Canucks lineup, the skies parted, the sun shined over the city and all was right again in the world.

Ryan, Geeta and P Mac gather this week at the palatial estate to discuss an eventful week in sports. Dave skypes in from the nation's capital to discuss a third straight week of chaos from Edmonton surrounding the Oilers. From players being put on waivers to some embarrassing losses, its another week of nonsense in the Alberta capital with a team who will do everything it can to make the playoffs in the spring.

They also discuss the Vancouver Canucks' extended home stand including Thatcher Demko's first win of the season over the Buffalo Sabres and Elias Pettersson's return to the lineup in a 3-2 matinee win against the Detroit Red Wings. Petey wasted little time before scoring his 23rd goal of the season, he also netted an assist and made the Canucks once again look like an offensive threat.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are looking human these days. Their midseason slump continues and so does William Nylander's scoring woes. After getting just his fourth point of the season in a 4-2 loss to the Arizona Coyotes, it might be time to revaluate that signing before it's too late for Kyle Dubas and the Leafs.

The William Nylander saga is over in Toronto and to celebrate, Kyle Dubas made a "blockbuster" trade with Jim Benning and the Vancouver Canucks.

Ryan, Geeta and Paul gather in the palatial estate to discuss the six year, $6.9 million AAV contract handed out to William Nylander at the 11th hour. What will this mean for the Maple Leafs' big cap crunch next season? Could we see Nylander or another big part of the Leafs' core be moved next year? Or can Kyle Dubas make it all fit under the salary cap?

The 2018/19 NHL regular season is here, P Mac is back from Winnipeg and it's time to get ready for the new season!

P Mac, Geeta and Ryan get together to discuss Sam Gagner being put on waivers by the Vancouver Canucks this week. After a subpar pre-season and first regular season with the Canucks, Jim Benning opted to admit the three year deal he signed Sam Gagner to last year was a mistake. Cutting Gagner gave room for a young prospect and is considered a glimmer of optimism for Canucks fans.

They Skype with Dave from Ottawa and discuss the Montreal Canadiens' naming Shea Weber the 30th captain in Habs history. One problem, he isn't expected to return to the lineup until December. Why name a captain now? It seemed like it was appointed just to send a message; this is a new Habs core, a new Habs mindset and they're not living in the past.

NHL training camps have come and gone which means the podcast is back!

The Vancouver Canucks' goaltender of the future finally makes his NHL debut... and it was pretty okay.

Ryan, Geeta and P Mac chat over the Easter long weekend to discuss the big debut of Thatcher Demko on Saturday afternoon. After several years of development in college and the AHL, the Canucks' goaltending prospect made his debut against a Columbus Blue Jackets team hungry for points and home ice advantage.

They also discuss Scott Foster's emergency call up with the Chicago Blackhawks. His fourteen perfect minutes of play were one of the few bright spots for the struggling Blackhawks this season.

Denis Potvin had some pretty salty words for the Edmonton Oilers. Major praise for McDavid, but heavy criticism for the rest of the team and management. The gang asks what needs to be done over the summer to try and get them back to the playoffs, just one year removed from a second round appearance.

They also discuss the red-hot Boston Bruins. They overtook Tampa atop the Atlantic Division, have some incredible depth and look to be built for the playoffs. How far will they go? And how about that new one year deal for Big Z? Will the Sedins look for something similar?
