白沙屯拱天宮是台灣知名的媽祖廟，每年白沙屯媽祖徒步進香，從白沙屯走到北港朝天宮，來回400公里，是台灣最長距離的媽祖進香活動，被文化部登錄為國家無形文化資產。
Baishatun Gongtian Temple is a well-known Mazu temple in Taiwan. Every year, Baishatun Mazu incense event by hiking, walks from Baishatun to Beigang Chaotian Temple. It is 400 kilometers back and forth. It is the longest distance of the Mazu incense event in Taiwan. The Ministry of Culture registered it as a national intangible cultural heritage.
白沙屯舊稱「白沙墩」。過港溪從上游沖刷下來的沙土，受到冬季東北季風的吹襲，在河口南岸形成堆積的沙丘，沙土顏色呈白淡，因此這裡就被稱為「白沙墩」。1920年，改名「白沙屯」。
Baishatun used to be called "Baishadun". The sand and soil washed down from the upstream of the Ganggang Creek was hit by the northeast monsoon in winter, and sand dunes were formed on the south beach of the estuary. The sand dunes are pale in color, so the place is called "Bashadun" . In 1920, it was renamed "Baishatun".
駱家古厝內黃堂位白沙屯老街。駱家古厝是白沙屯的大戶人家。駱姓祖先於清代雍正、乾隆年間入墾白沙屯，世居此地。日治時期，駱英生曾任白沙墩區區長，是當時地方名人。二次大戰期間，美軍轟炸機曾於白沙屯投下炸彈，駱家古厝亦遭波，屋牆仍留有當時轟炸遺跡。
Neihuangtang is the clan title of the Luo family. This Luo ancient house is a prominent family in Baishatun. The ancestors of the Luo family entered the Baishatun area during the Yongzheng and Qianlong periods of the Qing Dynasty and live here from that time. During the Japanese occupation, Luo-Yingsheng served as the head of Baishadun District and was a local celebrity at that time. U.S. military bombers dropped bombs in Baishatun in the period of World War II, Luo ancient house was also hit, and there were still bombing ruins on the walls of the house.
