昨年、川口春奈（28）と共演したフジテレビドラマ「silent」が放送のたび、関連ワードがツイッターの世界トレンド入りするなど社会現象に。今田美桜（26）と共演した主演映画「わたしの幸せな結婚」（3月公開）も7日までに26億2000万円の興行収入を記録している“今最も旬な男”。連ドラではグループのメンバーらと主演したことはあったが、単独では初となる。 同名漫画が原作で、性格が正反対である中学の同級生とともに起業。大企業からの妨害もはね返しながら型破りな方法で1兆ドル（トリリオンダラー）を稼いで、この世の全てを手に入れようと成り上がっていく。
