A drone user who nearly crashed his aircraft into Fatboy Slim during a performance on Brighton beach has been convicted in what police believe is a landmark prosecution.
Giles Dalby, 39, operated the device above crowds of music fans at On the Beach before it plummeted onto the stage and narrowly missed the DJ, whose real name is Norman Cook.
The incident took place at a drum and bass music festival in Brighton on July 22, 2022. The three-day festival was held over a weekend on the Sussex seafront in and headlined by Cook on the Friday night.
