How youth political participation in Taiwan has evolved since the 2014 Sunflower Movement

It's been a decade since the student-led Sunflower Movement reshaped Taiwan's political space and catapulted youth activists into the ruling Democratic Progressive Party. The protests called for the then-Kuomintang government to retract the Cross-Strait Service Trade Agreement (CSSTA). Activists saw the deal as allowing China to exert greater influence on the island through investments in sensitive industries. Ahead of the island's presidential polls, CNA finds out how much of this will continue to impact young voters. Deborah Wong reports.
