Im on the planetary evaluation committee
I’m here to learn the state of human kind
Is this planet worth saving? Lets see what we can find:
You’re planet’s getting hotter by the minute and nobody cares
The automotive industry is killing all the polar bears
The water levels rising to the likes of which you’ve never seen
But no ones even bothering to reapply their sun-screen
After decades of protesting women still aren’t paid as much as men
Racism is rampant, somehow nazis have returned again
The current generation never will afford to own a house
An angry orange muppet man can never seem to shut its mouth
The government you put in place now threatens to upend your lives
“We’re all created equal” here somehow does not seem to apply
Half the country’s fighting for your rights that should be common place
The other half convinced that they are members of the master race
It doesn’t make sense, this world you live in
It all seem backwards to me
I hope in the end you’ll be forgiven
For all of these atrocities
The entertainment you enjoyed as kids has all come crashing down
The harry potter author has become a major bigot clown
Celebrities are selling Goop and being “just like you” they feign
And creepy old Youtubers sing about the toxic gossip train
A small percent of white elitists classify as billionaires
Yet many of the working class can’t qualify for free health care
Universal base income somehow has still not been unfurled
Service workers arent respected even though they run the world
It doesn’t make sense, this world you live in
The answer ive tried to avoid
There’s no use resisting, time to give in
Earth, you must now be destroyed

Yes, the world is pretty messed up, but please give us a chance
There are so many things that you may not see upon your passing glance
Like what?

Mother natures beauty never fails take my breath away
Awe inspiring waterfalls or sunsets at the end of day
Seeing children full of love without a drop of biases
They’ll bring about a brighter future filled with joy, respect, and peace

Making older people smile, also making tiny babies laugh
Remembering a memory you cherish from a photograph
Human innovation, quite remarkable the things weve made
From iphones to the phonograph, this progress always will pervade
That feeling that you get when you first realize that your in love
Elation flowing through your veins it feels like something from above
I know these may be little but they make our world a better place
They make the world worth while. Let us keep our spot in outer space...
