A St. Thomas resident captured the green and violet glow of the aurora borealis over Ontario, Canada, on Friday, May 10.
The footage and images, taken by Carrie Houston, show the beautiful aurora lighting up against the clear night sky.
The aurora in Ontario was caused by the most extreme geomagnetic storm to affect the earth in more than 20 years.
