Sergio Perez finished a strong second, underlining the outstanding qualities of Adrian Newey's RB20, and Carlos Sainz was an exultant third for Ferrari, beating his team-mate, Charles Leclerc, who was troubled by brake temperature issues.The minor places were disputed by Mercedes and McLaren-Mercedes, with George Russell crossing the line ahead of Lando Norris, a detuned Sir Lewis Hamilton, hampered by a broken seat, and Oscar Piastri.
