Yesterday we focused on what is a short squeeze and what is happening in the market. Today let’s go deeper into what AMC Stock Analysis and GME (Gamestop) stock are up to.
GME is no longer trading based on its business prospects and expected cash flows. GME is caught in the middle of a war between retail investors and long-short hedge fund managers. Third party allies (e.g. Chamath Palihapitiya) joined the battle by picking their own sides, driving the frenzy even further as we spoke yesterday. In the case of GameStop, 140% of the shares outstanding were sold short. What these clever individual traders figured out was that if they had enough collective buying power (which they don't) they could force a short squeeze.
Let’s talk a bit about AMC and I actually believe that it’s the next melt up in the market. Will it happen next week ? who knows but I figure let me paint that story here. I believe it could track some of the moves of GME and BB. AMC has already started to rise dramatically.
In this market, powerful new dynamics are at play, I will lay out why AMC has all of the characteristics of potential melt up, and why some exposure might make sense, even after this rise.
It seems there is a movement that WSB is going after the silver market.
Squeeze the silver market though, and you squeeze the dollar itself, the foundation of all of Wall Street's inflated wealth fed to it by the Federal Reserve. The way to squeeze the silver market is to buy physical silver. SLV is centralized and restrictions will be put up if interest spikes too high. The physical market, however, is decentralized and cannot be stifled by regulation or interest groups.
