Changhua, the largest county outside of Taiwan’s six municipalities. With a population that once reached 1.31 million, it has a history spanning more than 300 years and is a hub for culture. Loa Ho, Wu Sheng, Li Ang, Giddens Ko, many well-known writers were born in Changhua. What’s more? Many famous brands are also headquartered there like Wei Lih, Taishan, CSD, Merida, and Maxxis. But such an illustrious place is no match for depopulation and youth migration. The county government has been making a push for people to move back to Changhua in recent years.
