It has been reported by Variety that Anna Shay, who was a participant in the reality show "Bling Empire" on Netflix, passed away as the result of a stroke. It was the year 62.
"It breaks our hearts to announce that Anna Shay, a loving mother and grandmother, charismatic star, and our brightest ray of sunshine, has passed away at the young age of 62 due to a stroke. She was our brightest ray of sunshine." Anna instilled in us a multitude of valuable life lessons, the most important of which were to not take one's existence too seriously and to savour the more refined aspects of life. In a statement released to Variety on Monday, the family of the deceased woman said that "her impact on our lives will be forever missed but never forgotten."
Shay's father, Edward Shay, was an American businessman, and his mother, Ai Oizumi Shay, was half-Japanese and half-Russian. Shay spent his childhood in Japan. Her paternal grandfather established the multinational architectural and engineering firm that is now known as Pacific Architects and Engineers.
After the passing of Shay's father in 1995, her brother Allen took over as Chief Executive Officer of Pacific Architects. Since Shay and her brother sold their business to Lockheed Martin in 2006, they are now the legal heirs to the wealth that the company accumulated.
After then, in the year 2021, Shay was cast as a star on the reality TV series "Bling Empire" that was produced by Netflix. She starred in the film with Kane Lim, Gabriel and Christine Chiu, Kim Lee, Jaime Xie, and a number of other prominent Asian American socialites from Los Angeles. The sitcom was frequently compared to the original "Crazy Rich Asians" novel and film.
In a feature published in 2021, Town & Country wrote about Shay as follows: "Shay says she thought about starring on 'Bling Empire' as doing something for herself after spending years looking after her son in the wake of her parents' deaths." Shay was the subject of the article.
On Instagram, "Bling Empire" co-star Kevin Kreider paid tribute to Shay, writing, "You never know when your last farewell will be. It was completely out of the blue, and I wish that the last time I saw you, at lunch, I would have made time to stop and smell the roses and go on one more trip with you.
In a statement that was given to Variety, co-star Kim Lee said, "This comes as such a great shock. Anna has my deepest and most sincere affection. I am aware that we had disagreements on the show; however, I had such a wonderful relationship with her outside of the show that it didn't matter at all. We were on the same page, and she shared so many words of advice with me that I'll never forget them. Anna Shay was a fantastic and one-of-a-kind person who was cherished by a large number of individuals. There is no one else quite like her. During this trying time, I am keeping her and her family in my thoughts.
Kenny Kemp, Shay's son, will carry on in her legacy.
