Throughout much of the first practice session, Espargaro was outside the top ten, but as the lap times heated up, so did the Spaniard.
Pedro Acosta moved just ahead of Espargaro, whom he had a close call with on the run to turn one.
Similar to the incident between Fabio Di Giannantonio and #francescobagnaia during last season's grand prix, Espargaro was sucked into the slipstream and almost crashed with Acosta.
