Dubai is sinking badly! Severe Flooding Turns Roads Into Rivers in Dubai, UAE
Several roads across the country have been closed due to flooding. Drivers in Dubai have been urged to avoid Al Asayel Street and First Al Khail Street, coming from Business Bay towards Jebel Ali and use alternative routes such as Al Khail Road and Sheikh Zayed Road.
In Sharjah, the ring road into Kalbah has been closed. A second wave of thunderstorms bringing torrential rain and even hail across much of the UAE is forecast for Tuesday afternoon.
At least 14 people died, including nine children, in flash flooding in Oman on Sunday, with emergency teams rescuing two stranded people alive amid heavy downpours. Heavy rain has caused flooding on roads in Bahrain's capital Manama, while Kuwait is braced for potential storms today.
Saudi Arabia is also preparing for storms until Wednesday. Authorities have urged residents to stay at home due to the dangerous weather that has hit most parts of the country.
