What Happened to the Assassin's Creed Netflix Series?

Netflix and Ubisoft announced they would be collaborating on a live-action Assassin's Creed series in late 2020. Three years later there has been very little news surrounding the Assassin's Creed series and it seems to have a lot of struggles already. With the showrunner leaving earlier this year, due to a "difference in vision" the show doesn't seem to be in a good place and who knows when we may finally see it...
