There is still a high possibility of development from Invest 98-L as it heads into the Caribbean. Hurricane Fiona is moving toward Bermuda and then Canada.
Now just a tropical wave, Invest 98-L is producing a broad area of showers and thunderstorms now over the far southeastern Caribbean.
The disturbance is moving quickly to the west-northwest at 18 mph and is expected to continue in this direction over the next day or so before drifting slightly more to the northwest.
A tropical depression will likely form over the next day or two as Invest 98-L moves west across the Caribbean sea, where conditions look prime for development and strengthening.
