One of the most hotly anticipated phones has to be the Pixel 7 and its bigger brother, with the new Tensor 2 chipset, refined design and hopefully less bugs than before. Google's gonna be making headlines with the full launch of its Pixel 6a mid-range smartphone this week however. Just £399 bags you a remarkably good camera, solid specs and a more compact form factor.
Samsung is leading the foldables market with its Galaxy Z Fold 4 and my favourite, the Z Flip 4, set to launch in August 2022. The current pair are two of the best bendy mobiles around, so you can expect slight upgrades to Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 tech for the new duo.
The Pixel 7 series will have hot competition from Asus' Zenfone 9, another highly desirable compact phone with a water resistant design, premium specs, hopefully competitive camera tech and - a headphone jack! Surely that alone makes it worth a purchase??
