LITTLE WOMEN and Healthy Family Relationships

What does a healthy family look like? The March family of LITTLE WOMEN definitely qualifies! Jury is still out on the Seawrights. This week, licensed therapist Jonathan Decker and unlicensed filmmaker Alan Seawright are joined by writer/producer Megan Seawright, who probably also needs therapy, because she married Alan. And only a crazy person would do that.

They discuss the wonderful relationship skills, and temporary emotional and relationship setbacks, in Greta Gerwig's new, excellent, time-bendy version of Louisa May Alcott's classic Little Women. They talk about Jo's journey, Marmee's example, forgiveness, grief, and other ways the March family can be seen as a template for strong family dynamics.

As per usual, the best insights are coming from Megan. Jonathan explains the intellectual underpinnings of this lovely family, and Alan is kind of along for the ride, with the occasional filmmaking insight, that he stole from a ScreenRant article.

Just kidding, he's a genius.
