This week is all about getting on the road here at S2S! We're taking our twin tesla swapped squarebody C10 on it's very first test drive! What starts with the intent of pulling the EV truck onto the trailer, turns into a bit of a first shakedown for the electric C10. We lost a couple lug nuts and threw a few trouble codes, but even with just a rough tune on only the rear motor, we're peeling out on these R888Rs from Toyo with barely any effort! Once we finally get the truck back to the shop it's time to load it up onto the trailer so it can make its way out to Vegas for SEMA 2021! Andrew, his wife Janette, and our editor Kyle hop in the truck and book it out west, chasing the SEMA check-in deadline. It wouldn't be a road-trip without a few headaches though. Not even 5 hours in, they lose a side panel to the trailer. Luckily the folks at Elite Trailer in Crestview were able to hook them up with a new piece of material and they were able to make the repair on the road and get back on schedule! They make it to SEMA with plenty of time to spare, and are one of the first cars pulling into the Toyo Tire Tread Pass. Mike and Donny are there to help Andrew unload the truck, put on the Finspeed 3 piece wheels and drive the truck into the Tread Pass where they start bolting on the carbon fender kit. This truck is sitting mean
with its custom widebody kit completing its super aggressive stance. The only thing we had left to do is push our twin turbo LS swapped DeLorean in right next to it and polish it up for the start of the show! We adjust the suspension on the DMC 12 so that the fitment of our Toyo tires are just right and let our two widebody custom cars make their presence known at the Toyo tire booth. We're stoked at the reception to both of these vehicles from all of the people attending the show, and super excited about all the love these cars are getting from the companies that helped make it happen! We're going to be giving you guys another little taste of SEMA before we load the cars up at the end of the week and head over to California for Holley's High Voltage Experience!
