We also discussed the game against last place Portimonense, a tale of two halves, in opposite sides of the spectrum. 2020 has been and extremely unusual year, thank you for tuning in to us, we wish that 2021 is much better than 2020, both from a personal perspective, but also that Benfica can rise to glory in 2021.

We are now 4 points off the pace for the championship with 6 games left, and playing horrible, non-committal, uninspiring football. The result against Santa Clara may have dictated the end of the championship for Benfica barring some kind of a miracle. We touch up on a lot of points, from Lage, the lack of leadership, to players probably setting the coach up for failure. Nothing has gone right for Benfica this season, and the most upsetting thing is the lack of accountability from the players all the way to the top.
