Shinjuku is known for being one of the busiest areas of Tokyo and also the home to the biggest train station in the entire world, as well as some of the major entertainment areas in Tokyo.
However, there's also a different side of Shinjuku, which is very quiet and cosy, where there are few people on the streets, and the noise levels are so low that you can hear the sounds of birds and insects.
In this video, I'll show you both parts of this dynamic neighbourhood. I start next to the massive head office of Square Enix, perhaps the most well-known developer of Japanese Role-Playing videogames. From there, I pass some quiet streets before reaching the back-side of Kabukicho, the biggest red-light district in Tokyo.
The walk ends near Shinjuku Station.
