BRICS: EAM Jaishankar shares candid moment of PM Modi, Prez Lula reading headline on Chandrayaan-3

A day after Chandrayaan-3 scripted history by becoming the first country to successfully soft-land on the moon's south pole, India’s historic triumph not only made every Indian proud across the world, but also made global headlines. In that series, a prominent South African newspaper, ‘The Star’ hailed India’s triumph with ‘India’s Modi Out of this World’ as front page headline. EAM S Jaishankar on August 24 shared a candid picture of PM Modi and Brazilian Prez Lula reading the news headline. Taking to his official X handle, the EAM captioned the image, "This morning at the BRICS Summit." Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is in South Africa to attend 15th BRICS Summit, witnesses Chandrayaan-3 landing virtually. After Chandrayaan-3's success, India has become the fourth country- after the US, China and Russia – to have successfully landed on the moon’s surface. India has also earned a place in record books as the first to touchdown on the south side of Earth’s only natural satellite.
