Hi Family! I've received your comments asking for Crab Curry Recipe. So, I asked Veni to cook and tell us her recipe. Follow her recipe for a yummy Crab curry.
Crab Curry Recipe/Peethala Kura:
Ingredients:
Crabs
Ginger Garlic Paste
Salt
Turmeric Powder (Pasupu)
Onions - 3 or 4
Mirchi Powder (Karam)
Green Chillies
Curry Leaves
Coriander Leaves
Laung
Khus khus (Gasagasalu)
Jeera
Coriander Seeds (Dhaniyalu)
Procedure:
Start by making onion paste. Add jeera, coriander seeds, laung & khus khus to cut onions and make it a paste.
Take a large kadai, heat oil, add the onion paste and fry. Add vertically cut green chillies to the fried onion paste and fry till it turns red. Add salt, turmeric and red chilli powder to the fried paste and Mix. Add dressed and cleaned crabs in to the kadai and mix till the paste is uniformly spread across the crabs and roast. Add curry leaves. Add some water and add red chilli powder again if required. Mix well and place the lid for 15-20 mins so that the crabs can cook. If you can see the curry thickening and oil floating, it is a sign that curry is ready. Garnish with coriander leaves and turn off the flame. Crab curry is ready to serve.
