Hong Kong was hit by a record-breaking rainstorm from 2023/09/07 to 09/08 which caused a lot of flooding reports. Some MTR stations needed to close some of their exits and a few even were damaged by flooding. Wong Tai Sin Station was closed all day and split the Kwun Tong Line in two. It resumed service the next day (09/09) but broke down again after a short while and split the line into two once again, then it was fixed 4 hours later. Due to flooding damage, some equipment such as the escalators and PSDs was not working. All the PSDs were open during filming. It was fixed partially on 09/10 where half of one platform's PSD was fixed. It will take some time to fully restore the station.
香港在2023年9月7至8日遇上百年一遇的雨災，黑雨警告維持時間更加破紀錄。期間，暴雨導致香港多處發生水浸，部分水浸更影響港鐵車站，部分車站需要關閉部分出口，有些車站更遭到水浸破壞。其中觀塘綫黃大仙站關閉整日。黃大仙站在翌日9月9日恢復行車，但不久後又有故障，導致觀塘綫再次被斬開，最終在四小時後完成修復。黃大仙站因為受水浸影響，部分設備如電梯和幕門不能正常運作，月台幕門出現「門常開」的情況。在9月10日，其中一個月台的一半幕門修復完成，距離完全修復車站尚有一段時間。
