The name of a mythical one-eyed, multiversal tentacle monster is Shuma-Gorath! In the comics, Shuma-Gorath was a powerful, sometimes stated to be omnipotent, and ancient demon that possessed vast supernatural powers. He is considered to be one of the primal powers of Chaos, and was stated to be the greatest of the Old Ones. Only the smallest part of Shuma-Gorath's power manifests on the Earth when he arrives here, which is why he can only be seen at full power in his home dimension. In fact, in his native dimension, he is virtually unstoppable. This creature also appeared in ‘What If…?’, a series of animated shows that explores alternate realities where events might have happened differently.
