Honeyland is a Play-to-Own strategy game built on the Solana blockchain that opens the door to the Honeyverse.
Honeyland is a mobile-first blockchain strategy game where players assume the role of a Beekeeper to manage their colony of Bees and Lands. Players can choose a universe to explore and send their Bees on missions to compete against other players for NFTs and the scarce Honeyland resource HONEY. As players earn HONEY and NFTs, they can use these to grow and strengthen their colony of Bees, purchase more Land, participate in the Honeyland economy, or convert them into cryptocurrencies.
The Honeyland game is the entry point into the Honeyverse, a gaming ecosystem that allows developers to leverage the Honeyland players, assets, and economy to create games, experiences, places, and things for players to interact with and enjoy.
📱 Play-to-Own
Honeyland is a game that allows players to earn the in-game currency HONEY and NFTs in various ways. These can be used in Honeyland or swapped for SOL and other cryptocurrencies on Honeyland's decentralized exchange (DEX)..
Play-to-own is an improvement on the play-to-earn model made popular by Axie Infinity, where players will find more value in owning the assets they're earning than taking their earnings outside of the game or ecosystem.
In Honeyland there are three main ways that players can earn HONEY and NFTs.
Missions
Players can build their colony of Bees and send them out on missions to earn HONEY and NFTs. Each Bee is represented by an NFT that can be bought and sold on the Honeyland marketplace..
Harvesting Missions (Earn HONEY)
Players select the most optimal Land to Harvest, select the Bees from their hive to embark on the Harvesting mission, and deploy their Bees on the Harvesting mission. Proper strategy and active management will allow players to earn more HONEY in shorter times.
Hunting Missions (Earn Honeypots / NFTs)
Players select the most optimal Land to Hunt for Honeypots, select the Bees from their hive to embark on the Hunting mission, and deploy their Bees on the Hunting mission. Each Bee will earn one Honeypot per Hunting mission but proper strategy and active management will allow players to earn them in shorter times. Honeypots act similar to a lootbox, where they contain shards that can be traded for NFTs in the Honeyland primary marketplace.
Attack Missions (Risk/Earn HONEY)
Players choose three Bees from their hive to build their Attack Squad. They will be shown three Defense Squads that have been set by other players with their same Hive Level. The player can choose which one they would like to Attack. These are high-risk/high-reward missions that generally have negative EV (expected value) for the Attacking player, but can also be the fastest way to earn HONEY.
