I love to fish and I love to run. However, I never thought I would be running for my life where I love to fish. Ten Mile, Oregon has bigfoots, I would know, I saw one, then it charged me…

I never gave the idea of bigfoot a thought. Once, If I remember correctly, a friend of mine who lived in Burbank mentioned something about it while we were running down near Manhattan Beach in Southern California.

Again, other than that moment with my friend on a run, that fleeting moment I can barely recall, bigfoot was never anything I ever gave thought to. Today, however, I think about them rather frequently, more frequently than I wish, to be honest.

Here is why, and what I experienced…

They say laughter is the best medicine, I believe that is true, even today. However, there is laughter in the woods of the Pacific Northwest that is definitely not for the faint of heart, it is downright horrifying actually!

When in doubt, leave, and if you have to, run! Personally, I left, I did not give in to panic, fear, and hysteria, I simply saw it, that bigfoot, and knew it was time to go before more than my campsite was destroyed...

Yes, I was a bit, well, okay, a whole lot fearful for my life at that moment when I realized what I was staring at, but, as long as these bigfoots were not aware of me, well, I was intent on watching them for as long as I could...Here is my encounter story.

I was not alone that day, that was the second biggest problem I faced, the first was being surrounded by bigfoot. I was afraid, but not for myself, I was afraid for my great-grandson.
I know there was at least a bit of warning of possible danger, but I never expected what we saw, and what was out in the woods and hills around Wonder, Oregon.
Here is what happened…

Kendall, Washington, is small. That was the first thing I realized about the town the day we arrived. The second thing I realized is that there was something afoot in the woods around the area, and it had a huge foot at that…

The reason for the move was two years of study for my mom and dad. They were videographers and biologists and mostly studied the area’s flora around the northern part of the state, especially around Mt. Baker.

Their work and research would take two years, and as life would have it, I would do my research and find that the story told to me at school was true; there is bigfoot around Kendall, Washington…

October is a month that brings back a pretty hair-raising memory for me, exciting, but hair-raising nonetheless. Bigfoot, Sasquatch, hairy-man, whatever you want to call it, well, they are real, and they love corn I think…

Here is my encounter story, and it is my wish that you might get the chance to see one, but then again, make sure you have a little more distance between you than I did, you’ll thank me for that!

For the first interview in over a year and a half, today I will sit down with Ryan Biddulph a famous travel blogger who has had some pretty hair-raising experiences with what he believed was bigfoot in his home state of New Jersey and out in the Adirondacks on a few trips...

I was raised fly fishing. Being born and raised in the Land of Umpqua, well, it is truly in the blood. So are the stories of Bigfoot, even if you think these things are simply fictitious myths designed to scare children into staying close to the village’s safety in tales of old.

They stood there, eating apples unbeknownst to the actual owner of the apple orchard. And to be honest, I decided it best not to let them know, and for a good reason, I believed if I did, we’d have had a dead bigfoot body, maybe two…

They were on every side of me! It was pitch black. Only my little flashlight gave me enough light to see the reflection of red and yellow eyes that moved amongst the trees. That was how I knew where they were and how I would escape if I could at all…

There is bigfoot up around Odell Lake, in particular the Crystal Creek area. I WILL NEVER WANDER THROUGH THERE AGAIN!

That night, I thought it was going to be my last night on this planet. Even with lights from civilization in view near Shelter Cove, I thought these monsters were going to catch me, and, well, you know.

Here is my story…

I don't think I was being hunted, but I sure was harassed by a bigfoot! As it moved in and out of the trees, across the creek, and I was literally wondering if I was going to make it out of there in one piece.

Lake Cushman, most of it is still rather wild. So wild, in fact, that I had both a wonderful and frightening experience with a bigfoot, well, two bigfoots actually. It is definitely weird being a part of this-this "I've seen a bigfoot club," that's for sure...

Not too long ago, up out of Glide, Oregon, there were some of the worst fires ever in southern Oregon. It took out home after home, and to my surprise, it displaced a whole family of bigfoot. Yes, you heard me right, bigfoot!

I did not lose my home; as a matter of fact, I did not live up that way, but my mom and dad did during those days and nights the fire raged. We were spared any real damage, but what I saw as the fire started to surround us was, well, nothing short of amazing.

I never thought for a moment such a thing existed, let alone a whole family of them…

What could go wrong during a late spring hiking adventure in Oregon? Well, I could start with the weather, but, unfortunately, that was the least of my problems that day…, and night!

I still love hiking, and I am just dumb enough I suppose to continue hiking out in the boondocks of Oregon and a bit of Northern California from time to time. Even after my near-death experience with something I thought was nothing more than lore.

The plan was to take a two-day hike up and around the Twin Lakes part of southern Oregon, not to run into horrible weather and a monster, or two, or three!

Here is what happened…

I had to move back home. Being the only child, and with my dad gone, my mother needed the help. Soon enough, however, I would need help trying to understand what in the world was living on her property just outside Loleta, California!

I am not much for myths and legends; I am a pretty practical fellow. I have been that way since the day my dad, up and left us with nothing. I love life, being married, and enjoying being out and about on God’s green earth; as I said, I am a pretty practical fellow.

But, some things do go bump in the night, things a practical man would find unbelievable at first, at least that is until it is standing there in real life, staring at your mother in the face as that bigfoot did to mine in her backyard back in 1991…

My little brother Caleb and his wife must have met a nice Bigfoot, because that evening when I finally realized what was visiting me at night, well, this bigfoot was not wanting to play games, that’s for sure!

It started late winter, and If I recall correctly, it was late January or early February when this thing, this dangerous monster would come knocking on my window late at night and harass my other brother, and even try to, well, I believe take me…

They are dangerous, and they need to be taken seriously. Here is my story…

It was ransacked, to say the least. The cabin we’d be using for Christmas that year, the family cabin, had been broken into and torn up pretty good, but we never expected a bigfoot to be the culprit, nor have such a frightening experience with it…
It is crazy when you learn something like this really does exist, even when you’ve heard the stories you thought were just that, stories.
But, that Christmas, well, bigfoot joined us, and has stuck with us ever since…

I am not sure of all the ins-n-outs of Christmas tree farming today, but back then, it was a simple living, hard work, but a simple, worthwhile living could be had. The craziest part of it, though, was bigfoot.
My parents owned the property up in the northern part of Idaho between the early 1950s, 1951 to be exact, and to the day they sold it around the early part of 1970. They moved out there from Pennsylvania, a place you could say birthed the idea of Christmas tree farming in the U.S.
But, bigfoot? Well, that thing was here before we were, and I will tell you that while they are very unpredictable, once in a while, you get to encounter one like this, pretty close up…

Coastal Bull Elk Hunt Turns Into Bigfoot Nightmare! Ever wonder how you made it out of a situation alive you knew had to be a miracle? Well, that is what happened to me when I found myself staring down a bigfoot, a real-life, massive, and ready to tear me apart bigfoot. I am not sure what happened in those last seconds, but there we were, in a staring contest, a contest I had to win or, well, I was never to be found, that I was sure of…

The ash could still be seen here and there; Mt. St. Helen had only six months earlier, which was frightening to witness, erupted. What was more frightening to witness is bigfoot, and not from a safe distance, but one that is literally chasing you!
I did; I watched the volcano blowing ash in the sky from atop a mountain nearby where I lived in Days Creek, Oregon, at the time. You could not see it actually spewing out, but you could see the sky for sure, filling the atmosphere with deadly ash.

That moment you are literally running for your life, you start to realize that there is a God deep down inside, and you also realize that you don’t know Him as well as you should. And when you are running from a monster in the woods, well, you better know him…

It moved off slowly into the trees and fog high above me along the rugged coastline and out of sight. That was the last time I’d see him, the last time I’d be crabbing with bigfoot…
I pulled up the last crab pot, and while I know these things are probably dangerous, I felt an emotion I’d had not felt in a very long time as he disappeared, the feeling of loss.

It was there, amongst the trees. It swayed, staring in my direction for what seemed an eternity. Then, and very quietly, it turned slowly and disappeared. Fall was here, and so was Bigfoot…
I never believed that such things existed, I mean things like bigfoot or, sasquatch if that is your choice of names for these creatures. But, for nearly three consecutive falls I had seen one, heard it, and, well, talked to it I guess you’d describe it to be…

I remember the last night I ever heard the howls coming floating down off the mountains, over the fields, and into my room as if they were meant for me…, it was truly frightening for sure.
