Mexico Breaks Ties With Ecuador After Police Raid Embassy | Subscribe to Firstpost

Mexico has suspended ties with Ecuador after the police raided the country's embassy in Quito. The police arrested former vice president of Ecuador, Jorge Glas who has been convicted twice for corruption. This comes a day after Mexico granted political asylum to Glas, which was deemed an "illicit act" by Ecuadoran President Daniel Noboa's government. Glas sought refuge in the Mexican embassy in Ecuador's capital Quito in December last year.
