泰武古謠傳唱。
以部落之名，唱自己的歌。
以音樂之名，說自己的故事。
2009年的莫拉克風災，摧毀了生活和祖靈的部落，
讓位在屏東縣泰武村的泰武國小地基位移，
全校師生遷到其他村落的臨時校區上課。
受創心靈在古調歌聲中相互交融，歌謠感動了自己，想念家園的心獲得抒發。
今年泰武村和泰武國小陸續搬遷到平地的新部落、新校區，
雖然離開他們熟悉的北大武聖山山群，
然而這條和祖靈連結的精神臍帶，
因「古謠傳唱」而緊緊相繫，歌唱的靈魂得以延續。
「我都跟他們說，古謠是唱給自己聽！呼吸會傳達你所要表達的默契」
指導老師查馬克說。
泰武古謠傳唱八年，查馬克錄下部落耆老唱的古謠，逐句記下歌詞意涵，
土法煉鋼的過程雖辛苦，但他和孩子們仍持續尋回失落一甲子的歌謠，
重新喚回部落族人對古老的思念。

They sing songs, for their dearest tribe.
They tell stories, for their beloved music.
The Taiwu Children's Ancient Ballads Troupe is from the indigenous Paiwan tribe of the Taiwu village of southern Taiwan. Paiwan ballads have been passed down the generations as an oral tradition in the absence of written language. The Paiwan tribe's ancient tales, rituals, social structure, and cultural lifestyle have been illustrated and preserved entirely in their songs.
Following a performance on the Japanese NHK network television program "Amazing Voice," the Taiwu Children's Ancient Ballads Troupe was voted one of the world's top five performance groups by the audience. In 2009, the group toured Luxembourg, Belgium, France, and Germany, and was received with overwhelming acclaim. A European critic praised, "Through these children's voices, I am taken to their land as I smell the fragrance of the earth and am refreshed by the breeze blowing through the valley!"
A typhoon in 2009, destroyed their tribe and their lives. The Taiwu elementary school had to move due to the devastating disaster. They established a temporary school, but they were never depressed. Injured souls are healed by the singing voices, and expressed their deepest emotions. In 2011, the Taiwu village and elementary school were settled down on a new tribe and campus. Though they left their home -- Dawu Mountains, which is the place where they had connections with their ancestral spirit, the ancient ballads they sing can extend the spirits and feel the power.
The conductor and teacher Camake said: "I told all the members, you sing the ballads for yourself! The breath will convey what you want to say". Taiwu Children's Ancient Ballads Troupe has sung for over 8 years, Camake recorded the ancient ballads from the elders, and written down all the lyrics and implications. It was a hard task, but he and the children found the ballads as a valuable reminder for their people, a valuable reminder of the old good days.
