Game Mirage Podcast Episode 10: GTA VI and World of Warcraft

For a long time, both Grand Theft Auto and World of Warcraft fans reminisced about the good old days of their franchise and questioned what the future may hold for their beloved series.

In recent years, followers of GTA were constantly questioning when the next instalment of the series would be revealed while Warcraft fans have had a mix of emotions when it came to DLC - with Shadowlands and Dragonflight providing lacklustre offerings while its Classic mode reached to the point of WoW’s peak period with Wrath of the Lich King.

Over the past week, both series have had glimpses into what the future now holds, with a date revealed for the GTA VI trailer and Blizzard releasing its vision for the next three DLC’s for its retail offering and the someone divisive next steps for Classic.

And both of these topics will be the core topics of today’s Game Mirage podcast where James Ross returns as host alongside Isabel Coady, Lee Ross and Luke Olsen.

Call of Duty, PlayStation Portal & The Walking Dead

Game Mirage is back and with a brand new schedule!

Returning with a new schedule of a podcast every two weeks is James Ross, Ryan Britton-Carr and Lee Ross. However, with a new schedule also comes a new voice as the trio are joined by Isabel Coady.

One of the big reflections over the past episodes is that we’ve mentioned Call of Duty a little too much, yet that’s just how the news has dropped and that trend isn’t going to change in the latest episode given the major announcement by Activision recently.

And the reveal of Modern Warfare 3 will be on the agenda, along with a departure from Activision.

Later on in the show the four will also be discussing PlayStation’s return into the handheld vertical as well as discussing the latest Walking Dead game announced by AMC.

And to round-off the podcast, James, Ryan, Lee and Isabel will go over games they have been playing over the past two-weeks.

Later on in the podcast, the three look into new rumours for Nintendo's 'next-generation' console and also highlight the games they've been playing and, stick around to the end, to hear of a new style for next week's podcast.

Microsoft survives FTC Blizzard in Activision merger

There was only one place to begin in the debut episode of the GameMirage podcast and that's with the major step forward in the Microsoft and Activision Blizzard acquisition.

Microsoft won its feisty fight with the Federal Trade Commission, as US District Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley ruled against imposing an injunction to pause the deal, a move that both Microsoft and Activision stressed may kill the $68.7 billion deal.

The episode will look into the impacts this decision will have, how the UK's CMA will respond to the ruling, what both Xbox and PlayStation players can expect and what we are looking forward to the most once/if this deal goes through.
