Kasturi restaurant is located in Park Street and it serves traditional Bengali Cuisine. Well, you will get Bangladeshi style food as well as a West Bengal style food. When we talk about Bengali style food, (whether it is Bangladeshi or West Bengali), both gives priority to seafood.
And you know? We had the most expensive fish in the world from here. No, it may not be the most expensive fish in the world, but in India, it is obviously one of the most expensive fishes. Hilsa or Ilish fish can go up to Rs. 5000.00 or even beyond that per kilogram during the peak seasons. Imagine, Rs. 5000.00 or above for a kilogram of fish.
In Kasturi, we enjoyed Hilsa fish (Ilish Maach) and many other traditional recipes.
Though the google reviews said that it is a budget restaurant, I feel it is not that pocket friendly. We spent Rs. 4850.00 for 4 people. But. maybe yes; the type of food that they serve is basically expensive.
