第一次见到1933老场坊时，当时参加瑞典举办的国货展，当时瑞典王储成员参加推广。当然，1933老场坊也是众多世界名牌进行发布的好场所。
1933老场坊由英国涉及师巴尔弗斯设计，其全部采用英国进口的混凝土结构，墙体厚约50公分，两层墙壁中间采用中空形式，在缺乏先进技术的30年代，巧妙利用物理原理实现温度控制，即使在炎热的夏天依然可以保持较低的温度，很好的运用了中国的风水学。
当时这样的建筑在世界上有三座，其余的两座已不复存在。
我们在游览1933老场坊时，要记住两个人物，一个叫：余积臣，一个叫:孙德水，他们是师徒关系。1933老场坊以及上海滩的万国建筑，多是他们营造的。具体历史，大家可以在网上查找。
