Two St. Louis police officers were temporarily hospitalized after a crash near Olive and 20th streets on Jan. 7, 2024, the city's police department said.
Officers from the city's fourth district were responding to a call for aid on Euclid Avenue in the Central West End, officials said. The officers were then involved in a department crash in the area on their way there.
In surveillance video, a police cruiser with its lights on can be seen colliding with another car at the intersection of Olive and 20th streets. The force of the crash caused the cruiser to flip several times and slide several feet down the road.
The two officers were transported to the hospital as a result of the accident, officials said. Officials said they have since been released from the hospital.
