- This comparison has been made with patch 1.04 applied.
- PS5 offers two display modes, Performance and Ray Tracing. Ray tracing only applies to reflections in photo mode, in the cinematic camera on replays, and some ingame menus. The gameplay experience will be the same in both modes.
- Load times are around 40 seconds on PS4 versions, while PS5 needs no more than 2 seconds to start races.
- Other visually notable improvements to PS5 are the drawing distance and geometry increase, shadow filtering or ambient occlusion.
- The PS5 version also has more public and vegetation.
- Very interesting implementation of Dualsense. Feeling the road, the gear changes or the triggers for the pedals make it one of the best experiences with this control.
- The framerate has been tested in the most demanding conditions in all 3 versions. Circuits with rain or high graphic load and with 20 vehicles. Neither version can maintain a constant 60fps framerate under these circumstances, but it's acceptable overall.
- Ray Tracing, as a personal opinion, is somewhat anecdotal. Spider-Man or Ratchet & Clank have shown a better implementation of this technology.
- In general, Gran Turismo 7 meets expectations on all platforms as usual in this series.
