As part of the MTR preservation scheme, 6 carriages will be preserved and bits of the MLR-trains retired in 2022 were turned into all sorts of tools and facilities. Lam Tsuen River Station shelter is one of them. It was finished in October, but it was closed after a few weeks for renovation and I didn't have time to film it. It was reopened just before December and it looks closer to the actual train now (from far apart at least). Still, it would be better if the actual train can be exhibited.
林村河站是港鐵鐵路保育的其中一部分，在2022年退役的東鐵綫MLR列車部分零件被改造成各項社區設施，包括這個林村河站避雨亭，港鐵也會保留6輛完整的車廂。林村河站於2022年10月開幕啟用，但過了數星期便關閉翻新，而我也因為時間關係錯過拍攝機會。林村河站於2022年11月底重開，望上去更加像真的MLR列車（至少遠看是像的），不過還是希望能有地方展覽真的車廂。
