Mediterranean Storm Daniel unleashed its fury upon Libya on September 10, leaving a trail of flooding and destruction in its wake. Cyclone Daniel made landfall this Sunday in Libya, near Benghazi, where it left torrential rains, record accumulations, storms, strong winds and waves more than 4 meters high.
Many videos show how the Torrential rains they forcefully seized places such as Al Bayda, Takanis of Jabal al Akhdar and the eastern region of Cyrenaica, producing massive floods and veritable rivers of mud on roads and streets in Libya. From Libyan coastal cities – such as Tripoli and Misrata – they were arriving amazing pictures of floods shared on social networks.
Additionaly, Social media footage portrayed scenes of heavy rainfall in the city of Al-Marj. Benghazi bore the brunt of the storm.
