This week, the guys discuss their history with surprise parties. While there's no great answer, the guys are willing to solve your problems and make your holiday travel decisions! There's also plenty of talk about ol' Bloomington, Indiana, and whether it missed Evan as much as he missed it, and some other fun stuff to boot. This week, the guys, or at least Evan, revel in the light at the end of a very long work tunnel. After three straight 12-hour days while being sick and alone, Evan is thrilled to talk with his good buddy Josh about anything and everything! The guys try not to 'F' up the pronunciation of 'Ephs' after a certain cow mascot ended Kenyon's season in the Elite Eight. There is also some pretty important talk about an electric vest that may or may not explode pretty easily, so Evan could be in danger! This week, the guys have a lot of catching up to do because Josh was in Italy last week! Obviously there are plenty of cool things for him to share with Evan, including bomber birds, rare meats, Colosseum complications, and more! This week, the guys talk about autographs, meeting famous people, and shagging foul balls. This week's Fact of the Week has been marinating for quite a while, and the guys might have been on the wrong end of "sticking it to the man" yet again.

This week, the guys talk about culture. They may not be the most cultured individuals themselves, but they certainly know a thing or two about organizational culture (or at least think they do). Thanks to a recent assignment and TED Talk about culture, Evan realized that he's been working somewhere without the greatest of cultures. He and Josh discuss what goes into a good organizational culture, how a positive or negative culture comes about, and what it means for those working in a specific culture. Evan also got stuck by the man this week rather than "sticking it to the man," so find out what not to do. There's also a really good Fact of the Week, and Josh makes a great joke about it! So stay tuned until the end.

This week, the guys talk about books. At leas for a little while, that is. Josh and Evan have flipped roles as book readers since high school, and they dive into what goes into that. They also talk about the difficulty of recommending things, things that aren't this podcast, that is! Evan also has a handful of VERY important topics to recap, and some are seriously earth shattering. They guys also talk about phone use, share some Fact of the Week tidbits, and have at least one "sticking it to the man" tidbit too.

This week, things get a little weird! There's a lot of little things for the guys to recap about, and Evan has some show-and-tell items that he's particularly excited about. Josh has a BIG update about his FanDuel fiasco, while Evan has a BIG, little oddity that generates some laughs. This week, the guys talk about video games. Josh is thinking about Nintendo Switch-ing up his gaming routine, and Evan has some gaming knowledge to impart on the podcast. The guys also reminisce about how much fun it used to be to game with friends and how it was a big part of their hangout routine growing up. Don't worry, they were super cool, obviously. There's also some talk about why you might want to go find your old games and consoles before your parents give them away! This week, the guys talk a LOT about "The Batman" movie that just came out. The discussion starts with a surprisingly long catch-up and recap, and it transitions into a full-fledged movie podcast about the world's latest, and longest, superhero movie. Batman is a popular character who's been portrayed many times in many ways, so how did this recent iteration do? Did former teen heart throb/vampire, Robert Pattinson, knock it out of the park? Or did the new Bat fall flat? Find out what Josh and Evan think! There's also an educational Fact of the Week and some classic "sticking it to the man" action for your listening pleasure.

This week, the guys talk a little bit about a lot of stuff. Evan is taking a breather while back home in Ohio, so it's nice to have some actual freedom to reflect upon even if he hasn't been busy. Josh's big news is once again related to his digital money heist, so listen in to find out how that is going! The guys also talk about how to beat the system of high gas prices by buying electric cars, playing online word games, starting a card/car dealership, and more! This week, the guys just get to talking. Josh has some annoying updates about his ongoing problems with digital burglars, but he's got some Better Business Bureau backup on the way. However, FanDuel might have debt-collecting bounty hunters on the prowl to get even more money out of Josh. Evan is sleep deprived and a little all over the place, but he still knows how to skirt the boundaries of the education system. Evan has also had some cheese problems! However, they make for a good laugh and a fun story. The guys also talk about the Wordle phenomenon, other stuff, and give both Fact of the Week and "sticking it to the man" tidbits in here too. This week, the hackers are taking over! Fortunately, they haven't gotten around to taking control of the LIF Podcast or its accounts. Unfortunately, they found a new mark in Josh and stole from him! The experience leads the guys to talk a lot about cybersecurity, hacking, and other related content. Tune in because Evan might slip up and share more personal info than he'd like. There's also MANY Fact of the Week tidbits and a "sticking it to the man" mixed in.

This week, the guys are staying verwy qwiet... cuz they're hunting habits! After last week's teaser, the guys dive into some conversation about daily habits, especially ones involving phone use. Evan might triple Josh's daily screen time, but is that a bad thing? Who's to say what the best way to use your phone and your free time is? Overall, maybe it's just a personal preference and there's no 'right' or 'wrong' way to power through the monotony of everyday life. There's also a "sticking it to the man" and Fact of the Week tidbit for your listening pleasure!

This week, the guys brush off a bad week by talking a surprising amount about personal hygiene. They also rinse off a rough week with some talk about showering habits. While these topics might not seem weird on the surface, they are odd considering they come after a breakdown of what Evan describes as his most emotionally, mentally, and physically draining week in recent memory. Combining frozen pipes, funerals, and frigid freeways is never fun, but Evan made it through. Fortunately, the conversation between him and Josh is still full of laughs and fun. There's also some talk about daily phone habits and both "sticking it to the man" and Fact of the Week tidbits.

This week, the guys talk about some interesting things. Heck, just read the title again and try to guess what this episode is about! The early portion is dominated by a long breakdown of Evan's busy and expensive weekend. After that, Josh gets the conversation going about volunteering and whether our generation is more selfish than older ones. Is volunteering for something you want to do selfish? Do the guys even want to volunteer? Tune in to hear their thoughts, but also to hear some GREAT Fact of the Week and "sticking it to the man" tidbits.

This week, the guys go down rabbit hole after rabbit hole. Fortunately, there's some fun conversations to be found in rabbit holes! Josh and Evan talk about their favorite condiments, the most interesting/unique things they've ever put into their mouths, and the unfortunate impacts of capitalism on the environment. Quite the roller coaster. It's all enjoyable though, and you can even get some tips of what works and doesn't work for the guys when it comes to cooking, eating, recycling, and more! There's a Fact of the Week or two tucked in here, as well as a "sticking it to the man" tidbit, per usual.

This week, the guys get a little existential and start talking about the future (again). Evan is back in Iowa and is NOT loving it. But he's in the home stretch, so that's both exciting and terrifying! Josh talks about a "rule" saying that the first 33 minutes of 100 minutes should be spent trying different options. But, the minutes are years? Or they aren't? We don't know, math is difficult. The discussion is still good and relatable though, hopefully! There's also some silly "sticking it to the man" tidbits and a Fact of the Week based off of the silliness.

This week, the guys talk about birthdays! Both Josh and Evan celebrate birthdays this week, so naturally the guys get to talking about birthday stuff. When is the best time of year for a birthday? Does it matter who sends bday wishes? Has anyone important ever forgotten your birthday? All these questions and more get discussed. The guys also talk about gifts, whether every year is "The Lord's" year, and more. There's some solid Fact of the Week and literal "sticking it to the man" content too!

This week, the guys talk about some of their plans for 2022. Josh has an impactful word to live by, while Evan has some big changes coming in the second half of the year. However, who the heck knows what the heck is gonna happen?! The guys also talk about where in the world they'd want to go if they could. Spoiler alert, it's probably not Iowa... There's also a Fact of the Week and "sticking it to the man" tidbit in here per usual. 

This week, the guys continue their annual tradition of talking about the best things they watched, read, and did over the past year. Both Josh and Evan have a lot of movies to talk about and recommend, and the gems discussed have something for everyone. There's also some series to note, some books that Josh liked, and one fun activity that both guys are glad they've gotten into! There's probably a "sticking it to the man" tidbit too, and there's a doozy of a Fact of the Week as well.

This week, the guys talk about butter! More specifically, why is peanut butter named after butter? Evan asks Josh what his least useful body part is, and the belly button seems to be in the running depending who you ask. There's also some sports betting to discuss, some recap on the last episode, and some generally fun conversations to be had. There's probably a "sticking it to the man" and Fact of the Week tidbits too!

This week, the guys get WRAPPED up in their music and podcast-listening statistics from 2021. Both Josh and Evan spent a lot of time listening to stuff, but they also spent a lots of time talking while YOU, the listener, did the listening! Tune in to hear the Life is Funny podcast's Spotify Wrapped stats that creators get to see. Also, are these numbers good or bad, something to be proud of, or just kinda there? This week, the guys talk about some of the dumb "problems" of life. Specifically, Evan has some silly examples of money-related issues and annoyances of society. Is there a dollar amount that you can/should put on going to the bar for a couple minutes to talk to a buddy? The guys also touch on topics like the difficulties of Christmas shopping, sports coaches making too much money, fantasy football, and more. There's at least one "sticking it to the man" idea in here, and there's also at least TWO really good Fact of the Week tidbits too!

This week, the guys talk about sports betting. Josh has dipped his toes into the big-money waters, but he's had limited success. Evan has yet to dive in, but he's pretty confident in his abilities. Listen to the guys talk about something that they barely know enough about to get themselves in a little bit of trouble, just like most of their conversations! Overall, there are lots of laughs and some good conversations. There's also a personal Fact of the Week and some foolproof "sticking it to the man" advice that everyone should follow.

This week, the guys talk about making plans. Sometimes, making plans is the greatest thing ever! Hanging out with friends, family, coworkers, and whomever else can be a blast. BUT, sometimes making plans is a Herculean task that people just don't want to do or can't do for whatever reason. Not making plans isn't a bad thing, and sometimes people just need to take a mental break. Josh and Evan also spit some Facts (of the Week), and maybe have a "sticking it to the man" idea too.

This week, the guys talk about small talk. Communicating with people is weird, and sometimes it's hard to know whether the way communication and relationships go in today's world is good or bad. Talking about sports helps with the small talk, and it helps the guys fill content on the podcast too. The guys also recap a weekend that saw Josh's puppy problems get a little better and Evan get to socialize for the first time in a long while. There's also a Fact of the Week and a sneaky "sticking it to the man" tidbit in her too.

This week, Josh has a front-row seat on the struggle bus as he's learning it's tough to be a dad. Josh is pooped after how much his new four-legged child has been peeing, barking, and being a puppy. Evan tries to bring the energy and help lift Josh's spirits, and things are fun despite an extra-sleepy half of the podcast. The guys talk about puppy life, how to live longer, brushing teeth, murder mysteries, and more! There's also a Fact of the Week or two and a "sticking it to the man" tidbit or two!

This week, the guys have a lot of catching up to do. After a one-week hiatus that saw both Josh and Evan in different cities for a week, there are quite a few stories to go over. Listen in to hear about Evan's comedically bad day, Josh visiting a plantation, and more. Before the end of the episode, the guys also talk about the global phenomenon that is "Squid Game." Without giving away spoilers (mostly), the guys talk about whether they like it and how they watched it differently. This week, the guys talk about a lot of little things. Evan doesn't understand people who wear glasses, the guys have different movie-watching strategies, Evan made some (debatably) homemade oatmeal, both guys paid utilities, and more. SUPER exciting (though relatable! stuff). Josh also talks about his idea of starting an AirBnB while Evan is skeptical. The guys wrap things up with a fun idea that could make lots of money, but will be a good time even if it costs money. This week, the guys talk about what it's like trying to be a couple of groupies. While they aren't necessarily talking about trying to follow a famous band around on tour, Josh and Evan discuss how people go about joining new groups and finding new activities. The guys have always been part of groups throughout their lives, but they're learning that it's not that easy as adults. Will Josh join a support group, start a cult, or get in with a bad crowd? Will the guys come up with a great money-making app idea? Listen in to find out, and hear a Fact of the Week and apple-based "sticking it to the man" example too!

This week, the guys talk about the strength of their streams. Like most people out there, the guys have some serious streaming going on. What Josh and Evan are talking about, of course, is streaming content. They stream movies, shows, sports, podcasts, music, and more, and sometimes it all gets out of hand. Is streaming more expensive than the ol' cable box? Do people even surf the TV for random things anymore? The discussion around this topic is interesting, fun, and topical for just about everyone out there. There's also a solid couple of Fact of the Week tidbits and "sticking it to the man" ideas too.

This week, the guys talk about Josh's experience of going to a fancy YMCA in Detroit. Well, at least that's how Evan is hearing things. The guys talk about navigating some long work schedules, the uniqueness of esports, fantasy football, sharing pictures, recording podcasts, and maybe a little bit more! There's also a really good Fact of the Week and some fun "sticking it to the man" examples/attempts in here as usual. 

This week, the guys show off their marvelous personalities. As promised, Josh and Evan go over their personality types and do their best to break down what it all means. There is a LOT to talk about when looking at personalities, and understanding what goes into your own can be really helpful. Do you know what your personality type is? This week, the guys get back into their groove and put together a stellar podcast (if they do say so themselves...). Josh is surprisingly expecting, and before he becomes a dad he and Evan have some things to talk about. Fortunately for the world it's just a dog we're talking about, but there's a lot to talk about when it comes to philosophies behind pets. The guys also talk about arbitrary rules that they set for themselves, briefly talk about fantasy football, and have an overall good time. This week, the guys' minds are FULL of good things. But does that make them mindful or mindless? Listen in to hear if they come up with a difference, the impact that technology has had on the mind over the years, and how they decide what goes into the limited brain space they/people possess. An interesting Fact of the Week is at the root of this discussion, and there's a "sticking it to the man" example in there too. Hope that Evan's laptop didn't die before the end of this episode!

This week, the "Life is Funny" podcast is feeling more like the "Life is Dummy" podcast. Evan just isn't feeling the vibe from Josh, and the lack of energy makes this week an uphill battle. BUT, that's never stopped him/them before! The guys recap their weeks, talk about all sorts of random stuff, and maybe even have a funny moment in there as well. There's a Fact of the Week or two and a possible "sticking it to the man" example as well, so stay tuned! 

This week, the guys talk a lot about laws. It's an update-heavy episode as Evan has been busier than ever and is in a new/old place, and he has a riveting, yet forgotten, update about his jury duty experience from a couple weeks ago. At some point the guys go down a rabbit hole about the legal system and whether some laws are dumb and whether there are too many laws. Stay tuned to find out how many laws there are and some other semi-interesting tidbits. As always, there's a Fact of the Week and "sticking it to the man" tidbit too!

This week, the guys FINALLY get an audio recording to work without having any issues. After taking three tries to record the latest episode, they're hoping that the final product comes out as good as can be. Or at least comes out at all! The guys recap their busy weekends, talk about some technological troubles even beyond their audio issues, and talk a little about moving. There's also a very in-depth math conversation at some point, and it really isn't something you're going to want to miss (trust us!). This week, the guys are back from their big trip out west. It's been a minute since they've talked since they hit the ground running after getting back from L.A., so they take some time to look back at their past week before reminiscing about their west coast excursion. This week, the guys are recording from the sunshine state out on the west coast! After talking about and planning the trip for months, Josh and Evan are finally living the dream and enjoying a week-long trip out to California. The guys were thinking about recording a podcast each day, but they're doing so much they hardly have the time! Listen in to hear how the first couple days of their trip went before next episode covers the rest and recaps the adventure. This week, Josh and Evan are both in basements. However, that wont be the case for long since they're about to see each other and go on a trip! The guys talk through some pre-trip details like trying to remember what flying is like, how to pack, and how things are gonna go. Before all that, they recap their 4th of July weekends. One guy enjoyed his favorite weekend of the year while the other guy didn't even get to leave the house or be oof a computer. This week, the guys get a head start on their classic end-of-year review by breaking down the best that the first six months of 2021 had to offer. This week, the guys are going to court. Well, at least Evan might go to court in the future. As one of the good guys, hopefully... Josh and Evan give their thoughts about how jury duty works, how the legal system is set up, and why they hope to never get arrested. The guys also try to lay down the law about what the scoop on mac-n-cheese is. Is it good, bad, or somewhere in between? This week, the guys talk about drugs. They might not know very much about drugs, but not knowing has never stopped them before! Find out some of their thoughts, hear an interesting conversation, and hopefully find yourself laughing along the way. Josh and Evan also recap their weeks, and after a weekend full of camping and house buying they each have a fun story or two to talk about. This week, the guys talk about what it's like to buy a house. Or, more accurately, a novice homebuyer (Josh) tries his best to explain the home-buying process to a clueless person (Evan). Are they right about anything? Do they know anything about anything? These are questions that can always apply to the podcast, but especially this episode. Evan isn't looking to buy a house any time soon, but since Josh is on the hunt he has some opinions on what the process is like There's a Fact of the Week and "sticking it to the man" tidbit like usual, and it's worth listening to the end for a funny finish!

This week, the guys are high-energy and full of fun conversation. Evan is back in Ohio for the summer is already having a fun time integrating back into normal society, and his trip back home came with some fun stories to recap. Is Evan getting funnier than ever? Josh and Evan also talk about movies and how 2021 could be the perfect storm when it comes to blockbusters after a year of theaters being closed. The guys might not be "real" adults, but life sure is moving fast at times. There's talk about the trouble of moving, how growing up works, and whether we play the game of life or the game of life plays us. This week, the guys are as funny as ever! Or at least Evan is in rare form and has Josh either laughing or rolling his eyes on multiple occasions. The conversation covers topics ranging from changing over time to the effects of the Covid vaccine, and it's sure to be a fun ride all the way through. This week, the guys get a little existential. Even though they're only about 25% through their lives, they wonder whether their best days are behind them or ahead of them. While they also hope this podcast is a close second in terms of great American traditions, they acknowledge that baseball, for whatever reason, takes the cake. This week, the guys talk about what it costs to go on a cross-country road trip! They each did a little bit of thinking and calculating, but they came up with some different totals. This week, the guys had very different weekends. While Josh had a weekend getaway in Chicago, Evan was working for 25 of the 48 weekend hours. Hear about Chicago stories that both guys have, whether you should use a fork when eating deep dish pizza, and what side of the brain does what. There's a fair share of food talk, and it all wraps up with an im-pasta-bly good Fact of the Week. There's a "sticking it to the man" example in here as well, and hopefully a good laugh or two along the way!

This week, the guys get testy. After teasing it in previous episodes, Evan took a swing at Josh's work certification test to see if he could pass it blind in his first go. Is he a boy genius, or a boy dummy? Or maybe a bit of both? Find out what the guys have to say about passing tests with flying colors. Josh and Evan also talk a lot about the preliminary plans of a cross-country trip that they want to take over the summer. It turns into a super fun discussion that the guys really have fun with. This week, the guys are taking shots! As a wise man once said, "Shots shots shots shots shots shots, everybody!" Everybody who can should be out there taking shots, shots of the Covid-19 vaccine, that is! Josh and Evan are doing it, and Evan is fired up about the whole thing. The guys also talk about, well, lots of stuff! It's a relatively topic-less episode that includes talk of online selling, car troubles, air mattresses, going pants-less, and more!  As always, there's at least one Fact of the Week sprinkled in, and there's a big time "sticking it to the man" example in here too!

This week, the guys talk about knowledge, the education system, and what their preferred knowledge base would be. Do the guys have any knowledge whatsoever on these things? Maybe not! BUT, what else is new, and that certainly won't stop them from sharing their opinions. Find out what letter your knowledge should look like (don't worry, that'll make sense), how the education system could/should be, and how to learn the skills needed for success. This week, the guys' lives are filled with madness! For Josh and Evan both, March Madness is on the brain as they look to win bragging rights in their friendly tournament pool. Does anybody have a chance at the perfect bracket? Find out! In other, real-life madness, Evan is having mattress madness after his decided to crap the bed and die. Does Evan have somewhere to sleep? Is mattress shopping as easy as the commercials say it is? Find out the answers to these questions and more! Though the guys might not have a good "sticking it to the man" example, there is a Fact of the Week or two for your listening pleasure. 

This week, the guys have a lot more to talk about than usual. Evan got out of Iowa for a week and it turns out that actually going places and doing things provides WAY more experiences than daily life in a tiny town. Find out what made him cry, what food he wouldn't recommend in Iowa, what national symbol he saw, and more! The guys also talk about the nature of technology becoming outdated based on some issues Josh is having. Is there any way to avoid getting aged out of using old tech that works just fine? This week, the guys say goodbye. Well, they TRY to say goodbye because Evan isn't really good at it. Talking on the phone and to people can be awkward and hard sometimes, and it can be even trickier when you have to keep multiple 'goodbyes' in the bag to get through the ol' Midwestern goodbye. The guys also talk about Josh being more millennial than Evan, some thoughts and feedback from a lovely listener, and an exciting past and future weekends for Josh and Evan, respectively. This week, the guys talk about work. Work is kind of just a part of life for most adults, but sometimes it can be a lot to handle. The conversation goes a little all over the place at times, and Evan has some work and sleep stories to talk about. So, buckle up for some talk about work/life balance, how sleep works, and all sorts of other things! There's a decent "sticking it to the man" example in here, and a Fact of the Week or two like usual to top it all off. 

This week, the guys are feeling friendly. Or are they? Honestly, friendship as young adults is weird, complicated, and hard to define. Doe Josh and Evan define friendship the same way? Do they have tons of BFFs and weekly sleepovers? Are they totally lonely and friendless? Find out the answer to at least some of these questions along the way. As always there's at least one Fact of the Week in there, and Evan hits everyone with what may be his best "sticking it to the man" excursion yet!

This week, the guys continue their trend of getting existential and attempting to answer some tough life questions. Josh and Evan each give their personal definitions of success and happiness and proceed to analyze one another's ideas. Does Josh base his definitions off of other people instead of thinking about himself? Is Evan always happy any successful and does he have all the answers? This week, the guys talk about the complicated relationship between money, happiness, and life in general. The guys try to answer a little 'would you rather' question about having a job they love or a lot of money, and they try to figure out which one matters most to them. On top of all that discussion, the guys throw in some Fact of the Week tidbits, so "sticking it to the man" talk, and some funny moments from their past week. Stay warmer than Evan out there!

This week, the guys talk about marketing. Evan is positive that he's above getting fooled by marketing tricks, and Josh is pretty confident that he isn't getting played by marketers either. BUT, do they think that the other one is right? Are they BOTH wrong and a little bit silly about how they deal with getting marketed to? The answer to that last one is probably a yes. This week, the guys talk about how cool they'd be around celebrities. Though they haven't met many, Josh and Evan think they'd be able to interact with celebrities because they don't really understand how people idolize celebs. They talk about our culture of idolizing and worshipping things in general, and even if they don't perfectly articulate their points they at least get them across. Listen for some a factual Fact of the Week, some "sticking it to the man" content, and whatever else happens along the way!

This week, the guys aren't sure if they're feeling very friendly or not. Both Josh and Evan have good friends, including each other most of the time, but the idea of making new friends is a bit of a weird one to them. Do they already have all the friends they could want? How does making new friends work? Do sitcoms show how friendship after college is supposed to go? They talk about these questions and come up with answers to some of them. The guys also give at least one Fact of the Week in here, and at the end they hit everyone with a "sticking it to the man" from across state lines.

This week, Evan is a year older, an hour behind, and a couple states away. After FINALLY making the move out to Iowa, he's got some initial thoughts and updates to bring up. Is there anywhere to buy food? Did Harry Potter have better living arrangements under those stairs? Is there anything to do in Fayette? The guys will at least talk about the answers after less than a week has passed. Josh also has some updates after talking to the "Most Interesting Man In The World," and brings some good life advice to share with everyone. This week, the guys are ringing in the new year! 2020 is officially behind us, and hopefully that means it is 2021's time to shine. Josh and Evan take a little time to recap from their first and last time seeing one another in person for a while before digging into the idea of goals and challenges to set in 2021. This week, the guys talk about social media. The conversation starts with Evan being a little annoyed at Josh's social media use, but eventually it gets into some discussion about "The Social Dilemma" and its story about how some of the problems that surround social media. There's probably a good thought or two mixed in with some rambling, and the final takeaway may be that neither Josh nor Evan are the biggest of social media gurus. This week, the guys hit a MAJOR milestone and celebrate it in fashion! To celebrate their 100th episode, Josh and Evan record and release the podcast in video form for the first time! They pull out some interesting attire in order to make the most of the occasion, but they may not have been on the same page when it came to coordinating outfits. After 100 (and a half) episodes of the podcast there's a ton of content to listen to so the guys break down some of the impressive numbers behind the episodes. They also joke and talk about plenty more things like Josh blowing his Christmas load, Evan's life-changing news, and they break what could be the most interesting Fact of the Week yet! This week, the guys talk about what goes into making their Christmas lists as people start shopping for the holidays. It's both an art and a science, and honestly it can be more complicated than you'd think. This week, the guys talk a lot about corporate holiday parties. These types of events have a lot of stereotypes associated with them, but are those justified? Evan also gives a run down of the road trip and license plate bingo that he played during his cross-country trek. This week, Evan is flying solo again while Josh is busy soaking up some sun in California on his honeymoon. Don't worry though, because Evan brought a list of things to talk about that is guaranteed to do, well, something... There's a brief recap of Josh and Lauren's wedding and some discussion about what it was like doing it in the middle of a pandemic, a short breakdown of what it's like to get a COVID test, and a rundown of how Evan might have a cool new ride that's basically like a motorcycle. This week, Evan is flying solo. He kind of goes all over the place without Josh around to help give some order to the episode, so you'll have to be the judge of how this solo project turned out. Is Evan more Ginger Spice or George Harrison? Also, is past Evan any different than present Evan? Though he may never fully answer that question, he speculates on change, growing up, changing personalities, and all sorts of things. Josh makes his presence felt with the Fact of the Week being one of his, and Evan sneaks in a "sticking it to the man" tidbit in at the end too.

This week, the guys are a little worn out after a weekend full of celebrating Josh being an unmarried man. Overall, the weekend was a blast! However, there were certainly some aspects that could've been a little better. While Josh and Evan don't mean to complain, it might sound like it. Trust us, it just comes down to expectations and hindsight. Even more hindsight says it was a great time. This week, the guys talk a whole lot about food. Evan talks about a new favorite dish that he's learned to make, and that conversation goes down the rabbit hole into talk about picking where to eat and not being able to pick food in a Food Desert. While there are a lot of things that are good and bad throughout the country, Josh and Evan focus specifically on what a couple articles say each state is best and worst at. This week, Josh and Evan have relatively normal weeks. This week, the guys saw COVID-19 get in the way of their plans and planning. Evan is jobless after a hectic week and Josh is figuring out wedding planning while getting tired of living in a pandemic. Like most of the world, now isn't an ideal time for the guys. Whether it's wedding planning, job searching, moving siblings into school, or whatever else, there's a lot going on. This week, the guys had a big week! In a week that could've marked the guys moving to two new states, only 50% of the podcast actually achieved liftoff. Find out what happened to Evan and Josh this week! After hanging out over the weekend to have one last hurrah in the guys' college home, Evan sits down to record his last episode in Bloomington before moving out. Josh and Evan dig into the topics of friendship, memories, and reminiscing, and they try to figure out what it means to have a lasting friendship/relationship. This week, the guys talk about some of the expensive parts of life. Whether it's something smaller like a pair of headphones or an Xbox controller that need replaced, or something more substantial like a car or a place to live, life is expensive! Josh and Evan both have things in their life that are kind of unexpected and annoying costs, but fortunately they know that's how life goes. The guys also talk about how being smart with your purchases can set you up for bigger and better ones down the road, even though they're not financial experts. This week, the guys talk about the world ending. Somehow the topic of discussion gets really depressing, and at some point it doesn't look like things are gonna turn around. This week, the guys get patriotic. They talk about the 4th of July and how it's kind of a weird holiday, even though it's Josh's favorite. Does anybody know when Canada's independence day is? Will robots and AI take over, how quickly does/will technology move, and will the guys live to see it? They may not have all the answers, but that's never stopped them from talking about it before! This week, Evan has BIG news! In what amounts to a life-changing decision, Evan shares with Josh and the listeners what went into his decision-making process. The guys talk about the future, making life decisions, and what the next couple years could look like. This week, Josh and Evan talk cheddar. Not cheddar of the cheese variety, but of the money variety. The guys discuss their personal relationships with money, how they spend and/or don't spend their money, and how money plays a part in their lives. Money kind of runs the world, so they know it's a big part of everyone's life whether you like it or not. Before the money talk, the guys have some fun stuff to recap after getting to enjoy some back-to-normal type activities. This week, the guys talk about the future. They get into things early by trying to figure out how much planning each of them does and what kind of a planner they are. At some point it turns into a discussion about how to look at elephants, but we promise it makes sense. Going down the planning rabbit hole, Josh and Evan talk about the stereotypical American Dream and how life is "supposed" to go. Is settling down, buying a house starting, a nuclear family, and retiring in Florida the way to do it? Is the world too different for that to work? Do we want it to work? This week, the guys talk about some really important things going on in the United States. In the wake up the murder of George Floyd, Josh and Evan had to talk about social injustice and wanted to give their thoughts on the issues at hand. Some of it is messy, the guys don't know all the answers or have all the facts, but they care about what is going on and care about other people. Hopefully there's a chuckle to be had somewhere in the recap, and there's still a Fact of the Week and a "stick it to the man" topic. Most importantly though, the guys urge everyone to stay safe and care about one another.

This week, Evan reverts to his childhood self. Whether it's playing with Lego/Legos, fighting in Nerf wars, or decorating a future home with tigers and sports memorabilia, there's a lot to unpack. If you're lucky, you might even get to pick a unique room to stay in if Evan ever opens a hotel (just go listen to find out)! Josh and Evan also both find out whether they actually remember the Pledge of Allegiance, and the results are pretty interesting. This week, Josh and Evan get a little deep while trying not to overthink overthinking. The episode starts off just fine with talk of trivia nights, iPhone cases, Batman analogies, and other good talk. After a while though, it becomes an all-out analysis of how to better yourself, how adversity comes into play, and how to get along with your own brain. It gets stressful, it's still a good time with some good laughs mixed in, and maybe there's some helpful ideas hidden in there too. Be warned though, the guys are definitely not experts. This week, the guys share a laugh about Josh's body measurements. They're all for body positivity on the podcast, but there's definitely some funny stories involving a bunch of guys cracking jokes at the expense of Josh's half girth. Don't worry, it's not that bad! They talk about how that experience went during a stay at home order (don't worry, they kept safe and kept others safe). The guys also talk about big cats, sports, and all sorts of other things. When they recorded on Monday there was talk of things being done in reaction to the Coronavirus, but now everything has gotten even crazier. In this episode the guys talk about whether they could survive if they had to be locked in their rooms for two weeks. Will Josh and Evan have enough toilet paper? Would they have enough food? Josh tells a funny story about a failed side hustle, the guys discuss how things you're passionate about can be side hustles, and there's a Fact of the Week in there too. This week, Josh and Evan talk about the tragic passing of Kobe Bryant. On Jan. 26, Kobe Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, and 7 others passed away in a helicopter accident. This accident deeply impacted Evan as Kobe was/is his favorite athlete and the reason for Evan being the NBA and sport fan he is today. The guys discuss the magnitude of an event like this, how to deal with such an unprecedented situation, and their feelings on the whole thing. There are some Fact of the Week tidbits mixed in. We recognize that this episode may not resonate with everyone, but we felt it was necessary to talk about it and remind ourselves that life is fragile and meaningful. Kobe Bryant was 41 years old and is survived by his wife and three daughters. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Bryants, the families of the other passengers, and anyone affected by this tragedy.

This week, the guys strap on their medical gowns and get down to business. Josh may or may not have had a near-death experience this week, so the guys obviously have to share a bunch of medical stories. Whether it's wisdom teeth, possible appendicitis, or religious injuries, Evan and Josh have a lot of personal experiences to draw from. Josh also gets a new nickname or two, and we find out that he's "an extra fat kind of guy." As always there's a Fact of the Week, and there's even a little teaser for a future episode in here too.

This week, the guys talk about the efficacy of zoos. Josh and Evan give their thoughts about whether zoos (and aquariums) are ethical and about the overall pros and cons of zoos. They address both sides of the issue from their own perspectives while really diving into some of the more important aspects of the issue. Even though the guys have some good thoughts and opinions, if they do say so themselves, the conversation gets even better insight thanks to an awesome listener who used to work at a zoo. This week, Josh is back! Fresh off a rowdy trek to Texas, Josh recounts all his southern adventures. Did Lauren say he wimped out on something? You'll have to listen and find out! This week, the guys don't do anything, because there's no guys... Josh is gone... He's run off to Texas with Lauren, and Evan isn't sure when/if he's ever coming back! With Josh headed down south, pretending to be a real-life cowboy with his boots, belt buckles, and country charm, Evan has to carry the load for this week's episode. Don't worry though, he's used to carrying the weight of the podcast whether Josh is around or not. With 50% less dude on the podcast than usual, maybe there will be more talk about things like Luna bars and Rom-Coms.
