In this video I'm walking from Omote Sando (Tokyo Metro Chiyoda-Line, Hanzomon Line and Ginza Line) to JR Harajuku Station (JR Yamanote Line). The route I took started along Omote Sando Street, one of the most well known high-end brand shopping streets in Tokyo. Many international and major luxury brands have their flagship stores on this street, which is always full of people from all corners of the world.
After a while I make a turn and head down Cat Street, one of the smaller streets in Harajuku, where many local brands have set up shop, including some Japanese famous subculture fashion brands.
At the end of the video, I also walk the entire stretch of Takeshita Dori, perhaps the most famous street in Japan for youth/teenage Tokyo fashion. This street is always packed with people, and the moment of shooting this video was no exception, despite being on a Sunday evening.
The walk ends at JR Harajuku Station, which will soon undergo a major reconstruction, I think it's due to be completed in time for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
