Each of the 4 verses is based on a different scenario; the first 3 are from scenes in the Bible, the 4th from today.
Verse 1 is the scene from the story of Jesus and the 12 disciples in the boat on the Sea of Galilee when the storm suddenly rose up out of nowhere and threatened to drown them all.
Verse 2 is the scene from the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, the 3 Israelite captives who wouldn't bow down to statue of their captor, the Babylonian king, Nebuchadnezzar, so he threw them into a blazing furnace.
Verse 3 is the scene from the story of the Israelites just after they left Egypt and were standing on the shore of the Red Sea and heard the thundering hoofbeats of Pharoah's chariots coming for them.
Verse 4 is from any modern scenario of guilt, shame, condemnation and accusations...it's you and it's me.
Whether you're being threatened by a storm, a fire, a bloodthirsty enemy, or your own mistakes...
Jesus is there. He is standing beside you. He is fighting for you. And you can be at peace...if you just keep your eyes on Him. (Isaiah 26:3)
