What do you do when you don't know who (or what) to trust? How do you handle paranoia, fear, isolation, and mistrust?

Licensed Therapist Jonathan Decker was forced (by filmmaker Alan Seawright) to watch John Carpenter's The Thing to try to find some answers. We kinda struggled for a minute to find something positive and uplifting in this nihilistic tale of distrust and body horror, but eventually we got there.

Because we're experts. Don't try this at home.

After a lot of paranoia, Kurt Russel leads the survivors of Thule Station in Antarctica band together to destroy The Thing, and in the process Wilford Brimley builds a spaceship out of spare parts and definitely a trash can lid. And this is one of Alan's favorite movies!

You should definitely watch this movie at home, using this link!
