DISTRICT 2 - A Message From The Capitol - The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013)
They give us weapons for defense, Peacekeepers for order, and trains for movement. Truly, District 2 is the engine that drives our tomorrow.
Panem wasn't built by one district alone, and it will take all of us to realize the great future that lies ahead! On the occasion of the 75th Hunger Games The Capitol invites you to join in recognizing the uniqueness of every district with these informational shorts. So sit back, learn about your fellow citizens, and remember: viewing is mandatory.
District 2's industry is masonry, but also manufactures weaponry, makes trains, and supplies Peacekeepers. The main military complex in the district is known as the Nut. Citizens of District 2 are sometimes called "the pets" of the Capitol. They are the biggest supporters of the Capitol and therefore are pampered and given many extra conveniences. Some notable tributes are Clove, Cato, Enobaria and Brutus.
