Young Turks host and creator Cenk Uygur has commended the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees for their “fantastic” response to allegations staff participated in the October 7 attacks, terminating several employees.
On Friday, the UNRWA said several employees were allegedly involved in the Hamas attacks on Israel.
The agency’s commissioner-general immediately terminated the contracts of the staff members involved and launched an investigation into the allegations.
“You say there are nine folks who have already been terminated, and that’s fair, and that’s definitely true, so obviously there must have been some evidence,” Mr Uygur told Sky News host Piers Morgan.
“Great, fantastic. I want accountability; I don’t want anybody involved in the October 7 attacks, and they’ve been fired.
“If you want to do a further investigation to see if anybody else was involved, or you want to fire them, terrific, no problem.”
