Scott Pianowski and Frank Schwab break down both the AFC and NFC Championship games from over the weekend, talking about Brock Purdy’s injury in the 49ers loss and Patrick Mahomes playing through a high ankle sprain to lead the Chiefs to victory.

The guys start by talking about the Philadelphia Eagles, who cruised to another easy win after their outstanding pass rush knocked both Brock Purdy and Josh Johnson out of the game, leaving the San Francisco 49ers without any options at QB.

What are the Eagles’ offseason plans at RB? And is Brock Purdy a shoe-in to be the 49ers starting QB next season or could Tom Brady join this franchise?

Matt Harmon is joined by his Fantasy Football Live co-hosts Andy Behrens and Tank Williams to preview both the AFC and NFC Championship games this weekend.

First, the guys tackle a bit of news. They talk about the Carolina Panthers hiring Frank Reich to be their head coach and whether or not it will pull Matt back into being a Panthers fan.

They they discuss the New York Jets hiring former Broncos head coach Nathanial Hackett to be their offensive coordinator and debate if it’s simply a move to recruit Aaron Rodgers to New York.

Finally, they get to the games. First up is 49ers at Eagles, a matchup of arguably the two best defenses and two of the best offenses in the NFL this season. This is the biggest test of rookie QB Brock Purdy, on the road against a great defense in the playoffs, and they’re all eager to see how he does.

The guys finish off the episode by talking about Bengals at Chiefs, a surprisingly even matchup that centers around the health of Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes. Don’t count out the defending AFC Champion Bengals, though, and star QB Joe Burrow.

Matt Harmon and Andy Behrens recap the first 3 games of the NFL Playoffs Divisional Round, but not before having a debate over whether it is still considered the best weekend for football each year.

They start off by talking about Patrick Mahomes, who fought his way through a high ankle sprain to lead the Chiefs to a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. There’s a bigger challenge waiting for him in the Bengals next week, but maybe he just needed a good night of sleep?

Andy and Matt agree that Jaguars fans should be happy with their team’s season and excited for what the next few years holds with this young, talented group.

The Eagles absolutely overwhelmed the Giants, as many probably expected, but the Giants had a good season and now have some decisions to make about Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley.

Joe Burrow and the (underrated) Cincinnati Bengals played a near perfect game in the snow of Buffalo, while Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs struggled to carry the rest of the Bills further in the playoffs.

Finally, Dalton Del Don takes Andy’s spot to give us a boots on the ground report from the 49ers’ win over the Dallas Cowboys.

Matt Harmon, Scott Pianowski and Frank Schwab go over all four of the NFL playoff games coming up this weekend and preview each one in great detail, including where they would put their own money if they were betting on them.

Frank is reminded of the 2021 Cincinnati Bengals that went to the Super Bowl when he looks at the 2022 Jacksonville Jaguars, and he wouldn’t be surprised to see an upset in Kansas City.

Scott is worried about Jalen Hurts, who hasn’t played a great game in about a month, and wonders if the Giants can find a way to slow that Eagles offense down.

Matt is begging Josh Allen to calm down and stop making stupid mistakes. He could get away with it against the Dolphins, but it’ll be a very different challenge against the defending AFC Champion Cincinnati Bengals.

Finally, the guys agree that the Dallas Cowboys are underrated and could win the Super Bowl this year. They face what might be their toughest challenge this week, in San Francisco against the 49ers.

Matt Harmon and Andy Behrens recap all six of the games from a wildly entertaining NFL Wild Card weekend and look ahead to the offseason plans for the teams that were eliminated.

Dak Prescott and Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore really shined on Monday night, effectively ending Tom Brady’s time with the Buccaneers. He likely won’t find a home with the 49ers, who continue to get impressive performances from rookie QB Brock Purdy and an offense filled with playmakers.

The Chargers blew a 27-0 lead to lose to the Jaguars, and it’s mostly the fault of their run game that has struggled all season. The Bills put up a terrible performance against the Dolphins, who fought against the play clock just as much as they battled against the Bills.

In “The Fraud Bowl”, the Vikings lived up to (bad) expectations but the Giants (and QB Daniel Jones) might have something special brewing. If nothing else, they’ve built an ecosystem that free agents will be eager to join this offseason.

Finally, the Bengals squeaked by Tyler Huntley and the Ravens, who have to figure out what’s going on with Lamar Jackson and then figure out their offensive identity going forward.

The guys tackle the games in order, starting with the Seahawks-49ers game and a conversation about rookie QB Brock Purdy (with lots of comparisons to 2001 Tom Brady). The group is split on who will be the winner of Chargers-Jaguars, but they might be aligned when it comes to which QB has the better head of hair.

The Dolphins have no hope against the Bills, so the preview of that game inevitably leads to talk about Justin Fields’ sack rate. The Giants-Vikings game is referred to as “The Fraud Bowl” because nobody believes in either team, although Daniel Jones is awesome and K.J. Osborn might have some interesting props this weekend.

The Ravens can barely field an offense but their defense should be enough to make the first half against the Bengals interesting. Meanwhile, which version of Dak Prescott will show up in Tampa on Monday night?

Los Angeles Chargers RB Austin Ekeler is back with Matt Harmon for the final episode of Ekeler’s Edge of the season. Together, the guys look back at the amazing year Austin had as fantasy football’s RB1 before looking ahead to the Chargers’ playoff game against the Jaguars this weekend.

Matt Harmon is joined by Dalton Del Don to recap all of the craziness from week 18, which featured a lot of teams resting their starters or with nothing to play for. That didn’t stop the Detroit Lions, though, who played for pride and kept the Green Bay Packers out of the playoffs.

Matt wants to see what the Dolphins offense looks like with Teddy Bridgewater in place of Tua, who is back in the concussion protocol. Neither guy can figure out which Chiefs RB to play. The guys kick off the podcast with breaking news that the Denver Broncos have fired first-year head coach Nathaniel Hackett before recapping Denver’s ugly loss to the Rams on Sunday. Finally, the guys talk about what they liked or didn’t like from Saturday’s games including a new #2 WR in Minnesota, a new offensive gameplay from the Dolphins, and maybe a new relevant fantasy RB.

Matt Harmon and Scott Pianowski talk their way through all 10 of the NFL games that were played during the day on Sunday in Week 14, a week that included a ton of injuries and backup QBs and some bounce back fantasy performances from some unheralded QBs.

D’Andre Swift went back to his normal usage but the Detroit Lions’ offense is fun because of how deep their WR room is and how good Jared Goff is playing.

Trevor Lawrence showed exactly why he was the #1 overall pick with a virtuoso performance against the Titans, although it paled in comparison to what Jalen Hurts did against the New York Giants (and what Jalen Hurts seemingly does every week).

Josh Allen put his body on the line to get a win against the New York Jets, but it raised the question if there are any good fantasy players on the Buffalo Bills besides Allen and Stefon Diggs.

Deshaun Watson played terribly again, as did the Dallas Cowboys (who should’ve lost to the Houston Texans), and Patrick Mahomes played with his food until Russell Wilson rallied the Denver Broncos back before leaving with a scary head injury.

Brock Purdy showed that just about any QB can be good in the San Francisco 49ers offense, the Carolina Panthers showed that they can beat almost anybody, and J.K. Dobbins looked good in a very ugly game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Following a wild afternoon of games, Matt Harmon and Scott Pianowski get together to recap all of the biggest fantasy performances from week 13 in the NFL.

The guys kick off the show with a recap of the San Francisco 49ers’ win over the Miami Dolphins, which saw Jimmy Garoppolo go down with a broken foot that will leave San Francisco with their third starting QB of the season.

After that, the guys discuss the Cincinnati Bengals’ riveting win over the Kansas City Chiefs, including the frustration with trying to pick a Chiefs WR to bet on in fantasy football.

Does anyone offer two better fantasy players, and roles, than the Las Vegas Raiders with Josh Jacobs and Davante Adams? Almost definitely not, and the guys talk about what is wrong with the Los Angeles Chargers offense and whether it can be fixed in time for them to make the playoffs.

The Minnesota Vikings, a bad team with a good record, held off the New York Jets but offered very little in terms of fantasy value. On the opposite side of the spectrum, the Detroit Lions got Amon-Ra St. Brown into the end zone twice and brought D’Andre Swift’s fantasy value back to life.

There’s lots of WR talk, as per usual, including A.J. Brown’s revenge game against the Titans, Christian Watson squarely in Aaron Rodgers’ circle of trust, and the best WR tandem in the league in Seattle.

Matt Harmon and Dalton Del Don are back for another episode of Stat Nerd Thursday! This week, there is a heavy focus on running backs around the league and how much perception has changed around some of the key members of the RB Dead Zone since the start of the season.

After tackling a few news items, the guys discuss Josh Jacobs. Nobody was right about Josh Jacobs except for Andy Behrens, and he's certainly making the most of his final season before hitting free agency. He was one of the right answers from the RB Dead Zone, as were Miles Sanders, Breece Hall and Dameon Pierce. As such, Matt and Dalton each rate those four guys in order for rest-of-season.

After discussing the emergence of Jaylen Warren in Pittsburgh, and explaining why you may want to wait a week before trying to trade Najee Harris, Matt and Dalton turn their eyes to the New England Patriots.

Not only is Jakobi Meyers one of the most disrespected players in fantasy football (we have the stats to prove it!), but Rhamondre Stevenson might now be in position to be a top 5 fantasy RB each week until Damien Harris returns.
