Eating at a Dai Pai Dong is a must-try Hong Kong experience. Open air kitchen, foldable chairs and family dishes are what give Dai Pai Dong its distinctive character. When the glow of sunlight disappears and people start winding down, the busiest time of the day of Dai Pai Dong begins. The rapid-fire cooking method used in dai pai dongs results in ‘Wok hei’, which is also called the breath of the wok, giving the food its distinctive flavour. The original flavours of the ingredients are sealed in the completed dishes.

Compared to the history of Dai Pai Dong, Glorious Cuisine is the new kid around the block, but now, it is one of the best in Hong Kong. The owner, Ming, was a chicken butcher before running the restaurant, and knows where to get the best chicken and the best recipes! Chicken in soy sauce, Duck’s blood, and Canadian whelk stew are some of their best essential dishes!

大牌檔最重要係鑊氣,大部份菜式都係即叫即做!位於深水埗嘅增輝藝廚係少數榮獲米芝蓮必比登推介嘅大牌檔,喺戶外位置設有爐頭,夠哂鑊氣!另外,店主明哥本身做雞鴨檔生意,所以除咗海鮮,各種鮮雞菜式亦係餐廳嘅得意之作,大家一定要試試佢哋嘅豉油雞,選用新鮮龍崗雞,而豉油就用本地醬園品牌大孖頭抽,雖然比一般頭抽貴,但就鮮味十足!
