I think the way this difficulty mode was leaked to work seems perfect for the format at play here. The perfect mix of encapsulating the potential difficulty and drama of random permadeath, but keeping the forgiveness that makes it worthwhile. I think this will be incredibly fun. Just a few hours, y'all, just a few hours!
Also, I know the bit about the Switch was kinda random, but it's notable at this point that most solid Strategy RPGs find their way onto the thing. I personally wish the Switch Lite was more like the PSP/Vita design wise, but it's plain to see just how much of the genre is on there at this point. I found myself randomly wishing we'd see Rad Codex's games on here today, and was happy to see that it might happen down the road. It's the only thing that comes to mind as missing from it's library outside of the old classics...but we know FFT Remake will be here someday.
I prefer the controls of the Deck. I prefer the profile of the Vita. But...well, this was enough to get me to find a cheap broken Lite to fix up to carry around. The Vita cycle begins again, we'll be talking about how XCOM Plus will totally happen this time in about 6 months. Just you wait.
Why can't this thing natively run PPSSPP, eh? I want my One Vision, too.
