OJ Simpson, the ex-NFL star turned actor, who was acquitted of murder has died from cancer at the age of 76.
He was best known for the sensational 'trial of the century' in 1994, involving the fatal stabbings of his wife and her friend.
Simpson's family posted on social media confirming he died on Wednesday night in Las Vegas.
"On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer," the tweet read.
"He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
"During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace."
