Nasa SLS is in big trouble ''Replacement''! SpaceX to help...
There is no doubt that: NASA's Space Launch System is an impressive sight:
Standing 322 feet tall, the Boeing-built SLS stretches twice the length of the space shuttle and is taller than a football field ripped from the Earth and tipped vertically. Powered by a massive L3 Harris engine core and two solid rocket boosters from Northrop Grumman, SLS puts out 12% more take-off thrust than the Saturn V rocket that first sent men to the moon.
Sadly, big rockets are nice, but the SLS program is absolutely an irredeemable mistake. Its price is unaffordable.
And unsurprisingly, the Inspector General just declared NASA should use commercial alternatives to SLS.
And what was NASA Administrator Bill Nelson's answer to this?
