After the iOS14 update Dynamic Product Ads (DPA) stopped working, however we are pleased to say that it's back working again... and we couldn't be happier!!

But what is a DPA?
It's an ad template that is personalised according to each individual customer. For example, if someone hits your website and adds products to their basket but doesn't check out, they will be shown those products in their feed via the ad. Similarly, we like to target those people who have viewed the content (products) on your website, but have yet to ad to cart.

We've recently seen a significant increase in results for our clients, and we think you NEED TO TRY them too!

Have you recently noticed that when building your Facebook Ads, under the Ad setup creative section, there is a feature called 'Multi-advertiser ads'?

This little box is something that you may have just skimmed over, but Nick is here to tell you why he doesn't think having this function switched on is going to be good any for your ad performance and sales! ❌

🤔 What even are Multi-advertiser ads?
Multi-advertiser ads are suppose to allow businesses to be discovered by people on Instagram who have shown commercial intent by engaging with relevant business content and are in a shopping mindset. Meta says that this format helps increase user learning and will begin to show ads that they think may be interesting to people in the moment and help people discover, consider and buy products.

Ep 85. What is a Lookalike Audience and does it still work?

Let's talk about lookalike audiences... Do they still work? Are they worthwhile? Should you still be using them? The simple answer is YES!

There has been a lot of talk online, and from Facebook "marketing experts", about lookalikes and them not working as well as they once did. As always, we believe in testing, and for us, lookalikes remain a great audience choice. Of course there is a time and place for them, but it's a no brainer that we test them!

Not sure what we're talking about? Well, a lookalike audience is built based on customer data, for example a csv of a current customer list or recent website/ social platform visitors. Once this information has been uploaded into a custom audience Facebook then finds similar people, creating a whole new pool of cold people to target... pretty cool right?

Are you an e-commerce store and struggling to grow your email list? Then listen to this!

Nick explains how we have helped one of our jewellery clients grow her email list by 35% in just 4 weeks, by using our new campaign method called "The Birthday Club"! And to make it even sweeter it only cost, on average, 73p per sign-up!

But what is "The Birthday Club" campaign?

The campaign aims to target your existing and potential customers with an offer that is so irresistible they can't pass up. Now, in this case, our client is offering a £20 voucher once year on their birthday in exchange for signing up to "The Birthday Club".

As an e-commerce store the main goal is always to generate sales, however this lead generation tactic may not reap rewards straight away... To combat this, and bring in revenue straight after the sign-up, our client is offering 15% off the whole site for a limited 7 day period.

To date they have seen a 25% sign-up to purchase conversation rate, covering their campaign costs. Now, this wasn't the aim, as the long term goal is to grow the email list and build quality relationships to achieve a higher lifetime customer value... so this was an added bonus!

The Extracast - Laura Kingston, High Life North

After feeling frustrated at the London-centric publications she was reading, Laura saw a gap in the market to set up a digital magazine especially for women, which focused on every area of a woman’s life (Look Good, Feel Good, Work Hard and Play Hard).

After starting the magazine at her kitchen table in November 2019, High Life North now has a readership of over 40,000 women each month and is working to build a community of like-minded women.

Welcome to the first episode of the Lets Run Social - The Extracast🤩

Nick and James will be joined by a special guest twice a month to talk all things business, Facebook Ads and much much more!

Up first we are joined by the Wolf of Marble, Theo Constanti 🐺 @themarblegroup

Theo has achieved fantastic business achievement considering his start…. At only 17 Theo lost his hand in a motorcycle accident, but this did not stop him.

Only 2 years later at 19, whilst recovering from such a traumatic ordeal, Theo obtained his degree in Economics which then led to immediately starting his first business, an advertising company.

By the time Theo was 21 he was employing 70 people, and at 22 years old Theo paid off his parents mortgage for them and retired them to Cyprus where they live today.

Today Theo runs a successful construction business providing marble, stone, tiling and construction services to architects, kitchen companies, interior designers, main contractors and builders. This is how James and Nick came to know Theo as we run his Facebook Ads.

We talk his business journey, marketing and a lot more, we hope you enjoy it✌🏻

Have you recently spoken to an advertising agency and feel like they are taking you for a ride? We focus on a lead generation client, selling an online course with an ad spend of £67,000 that will be spent on Facebook ads.

When we spoke to the client, she had already spoken to 7-8 other agencies that had all told her she needed to change everything to make any money. We told her that wasn’t the case, as we didn’t want to falsify what she needed. We hope this podcast gives you a little bit of knowledge and help before making the tough decision of picking an agency.
