Good morning. It looks to be another hot and sunny day for most places. Especially those in Gyeongsang-do Provinces and nearby areas should notice much warmer highs with temperatures easily surpassing 30 degrees Celsius.
Sunshine has been on full blast for the last couple of days, and today is no exception. The entire country will have strong sunshine. Sun-proof items are a must today.
Bright sunshine and high heat will spike ozone levels in most parts of the country. Chungcheongnam-do and Jeollanam-do will have higher levels. Limit prolonged and heavy outdoor activities during the day and schedule them in the mornings and evenings when levels are lower.
With that said, Gwangju gets up to 29 degrees, Daegu and Gyeongju will be swelteringly hot at 32 degrees this afternoon.
Early summer warmth continues through Saturday for many regions then nationwide rain in the forecast on Sunday afternoon into early next Monday.
